June 12, 2020 Morning
Good morning! Yeah, it’s Friday! Mostly sunny and 62 degrees in Delmar, NY. β Calm wind. The dew point is 55 degrees.
Out for my morning walk πΆ then a busy day at work ahead. Should be a nice day, warm but no muggy like yesterday. I’m thinking about after work hiking out to Five Rivers π¦ for a walk.
Today will have isolated showers after 2pm. Mostly sunny π, with a high of 80 degrees at 2pm. Three degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around June 22nd. On this day in 1967, the United States Supreme Court in Loving v. Virginia declares all U.S. state laws which prohibited interracial marriage to be unconstitutional. β€ππππ Next year it will be a half century since this decision, which helped to lead to the gay marriage decision many years later.π

I am leaning towards Schodack Island again for Saturday to do hiking then grocery shopping at Aldi’s. π But then again I could change my mind. πΆ I could go somewhere farther out in Rennselear County or maybe Albany County. Not totally sure.
Looking ahead to Sunday, Father’s Day mostly sunny, with a high near 71. β North wind around 6 mph. Maximum dew point of 50 at 7pm. Typical average high for the weekend is 77 degrees.
For dad’s day I’m going out to my parents house for Sunday dinner I think π, first time in months. I got to call π mom and confirm the details and I’ll just bring my own plates and chairs. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to go out and visit more regularly. Been a long time since I last visited in mid March.
Next week on Monday π§ I’m dropping my truck off to have them look at the alignment issue with the driver side rear tire of the truck. I think the damage was done when I hit that rock back in 2017 at Moose River Plains π₯ but now it’s become a lot more noticeable as the tires have worn down β« and I’d like to pass inspection this year without getting new tires. π« I’ve been avoiding it too long but it needs to get done.
I am also starting to look at a new phone π±. My current one is four years old, the case is always needing to be painted, the screen cracked a little bit in the bottom but the bigger issue is that the charging port π is dying and I can’t afford to be without a phone while remote working. The latest generation of affordable phones have a lot more memory and much better cameras.
