March 13, 2020 Morning

Good morning! Happy 7 PM Sunset πŸŒ†! With the clouds it might be dark early. But I don’t know. Might clear out before sunset. I didn’t leave my porch light on. But at least outside of the Adirondacks, the snow is done it seems. Wait for me to be wrong with a late March or early April blizzard. Weather patterns can and do change.

Today in 1991, the Justice Department announces that Exxon has agreed to pay $1 billion for the clean-up of the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska. β›½ Some argue that wasn’t a big enough fine but at least it was another 20 odd years until the Deep Water Horizon.

Still undecided about my weekend plans. πŸ€” I do like the idea of going out to Madison County β›Ί but I know things will be real muddy and there will be still some snow and ice around. But it might be fun. The next few weekends with the Pine Bush Hike and my niece’s birthday party means I’ll be busy, and now I don’t have the Pine Bush lit drop on Saturday, I have more time to decide. Not sure what I would do there besides camp, maybe explore some of the state forests out that way. I’ll have to think about it more.
