October 10, 2019 Afternoon

Talk about a nice afternoon. Sunny and 69 degrees at the Mount Davis, highest point in Pennsylvania. 🌞 At 3,210 elevation its not that impressive, a lot of upland Amish farms in the area. 🐮 There is a east breeze at 6 mph. 🍃. Temperatures will drop below freezing at around 8 am tomorrow. ☃️

At sunset, look for clear skies 🌄 and temperatures around 58 degrees. There will be a east breeze at 8 mph.

I was a bit concerned about the haze, especially driving down through Johnstown Penna where there was a wildfire and a building burning along with a bunch coal plants in the area but it was very clear and beautiful on Mount Davis. I’m hoping to hike Maryland High Point next but only if I can make it there by four or so. 🕒 As no fires down here, I don’t have to get quite as early a start to find firewood for camping, I can set up the electric lights around dusk just fine.
