Reproductive Health Act

There has been a lot of talk about the state’s Reproductive Health Act lately. I’m not a women so it’s hard to have an opinion on it, but I will say this about the law — it’s less government regulation, and that’s a good thing. It’s unfortunate that in many states, lawmakers have made creating new laws and penalties a priority, rather then repealing them on a wide variety of subjects.

I don’t like the idea of promoting promiscuous sexuality, including sexual relationships outside of marriage or for purposes besides reproduction. It’s unhealthy and risky to let human body fluids come in contact, the health risks of casual sex exceed any personal pleasure. But we already have too much government in our lives, and I think the priority should be to reduce government regulation in all sectors of the economy.
