A look back at that March 2016 camping trip 🏕 to Burnt-Rossman State Forest …
March 2016 was quite mild with a record breaking 81 degrees on March 9th. It was followed by a nice, warm sunny weekend which I spent in Schoharie County camping along the Betty Brook at Burnt-Rossman State Forest.🔥
Somebody built this bridge during hunting season over the Betty Brook. 🦌 It didn’t last until the next summer though, burnt for firewood. Probably the DEC wasn’t pleased about the bridge 🌉 over this stream either.
It was a mild night, but still rather long, even though the time changed the next day. 🌃
Nice to wake up ⏰ in the wilderness 🌳 in the morning.
On Saturday, I visted Franklinton Vlaie. 🏞
Then later on, I hiked down to Mine Kill Falls. It was really roaring. 💦
The next day I climbed Vromans Nose 🚶 and looked down into Schoharie Valley.
