Farewell, Later Route 719 Bus.
Farewell, Later Morning Route 719 Bus from Voorheesville. I guess May 28th is the last day for the later morning Route 719 going past my house. It was kind of nice, but really the bus ridership at that hour is pretty light, and I usually was the first person to get on. I can go back to riding that Route 18, which honestly is a bit more predictable.Β
Not to mention, with the Route 18 on rainy days, there is the new bus shelter, and if I miss an earlier bus, can always take the later Route 18 which runs all day.
It was silly for them to run a bus all the way out to Altamont and Voorheesville, and the first person they would pick up was me in Delmar β when I could just as easily ride the only slightly slower and more crowded Route 18.
The past two weeks, it seems like the Route 719 never comes on certain days or is so early I miss it, I donβt know, but I can certainly understand the reason for cutting the bus. The changed bus schedule is desirable for both an environmental perspective and a financial perspective of the authority.
Due to the low ridership, the later morning Route 719 service from Altamont and Voorheesville will now start at the park and ride, come May 28th.

More on the difficulties that Germany and other advanced economies have at getting off of coal.

New Study Shows Muley Herd Migrates 150 Miles Annually
If Muley deer out west travel 150 miles a year, how often do they need to change their oil? I doubt they use synthetic oil.
Good Afternoon! Cloudy and Rather Dark Today.
Good Afternoon! Cloudy and Rather Dark Today. They are expecting rain later today. Not a lot, but showers. Of course I left my umbrella home. Hopefully it will not be pouring when I get out of work, but if it is, Iβll just get a little wet running down to the bus shelter and then from the bus stop, home. I have another sportscoat to wear tomorrow, if this one is still soaked come tomorrow.
Β Last Night When I Got Home, I Felt So Darn Sick. Not sure why, but I felt awful dizzy, sick, and tired. Took out my contacts I decided to walk down to the library to download my podcasts and get fresh air, and I ended up looking at the Syracuse I-81 study for a bit. By morning, was feeling a lot better today, after a good nights sleep. Went shopping this morning for food, as I was pretty much out at home. Drivers who stop at yellow lights, early at the light, can be annoying, especially in rush hour traffic.
Normally don’t drive much at rush hour. But today, I was really low on food, and also wanted to get some stuff for both breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so I could avoid going out shopping again until the weekend, or at least until I pack to head out of town for the weekend if it so happens weather-wise this weekend.
New Jobs Aren’t Worth It
Apparently fewer people are moving for better jobs, as much better jobs in other parts of the country don't really exist nowadays.
I wonder if now, more people are moving for political or ideological reasons, or if family and community connections exceed people's desire to live in a community that represents their beliefs?
