It was cold but quiet. I ran into some hikers on the trail but saw nobody at the tower. 

To be fair, I didn't get a really early start but also I poked around and it was dusk before I realized it. 

The colors were faded to mostly red by the time I got to Long Pond, but it still was a beauitful end of the day.

Maybe somewhat faded by the late season and relatively dry autumn, there were still many excellent reds and yellows to be taken in from the Dickinson Firetower.

The colors were quite beautiful walking along the Firetower trail.
