Good afternoon! Mostly sunny and 79 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a west breeze at 11 mph. The dew point is 52 degrees.

Looks like today is going to be a pretty nice day. I don’t have a lot of plans yet but I should finish up breakfast early and get ready to go. Monday looks to be a lot warmer with rain coming for mid week. Next weekend looks about perfect. In the meantime, get out and enjoy today!

This afternoon will be sunny, with a high of 81 degrees at 3pm. One degrees below normal. Maximum dew point of 55 at 6pm. West wind 11 to 14 mph. A year ago, we had cloudy skies. The high of 68 degrees. The record high of 103 was set in 1936.

The sun will set at 8:34 pm with dusk around 9:08 pm, which is 27 seconds earlier than yesterday. At sunset, look for mostly clear conditions and 74 degrees. The dew point will be 57 degrees. There will be a west-southwest breeze at 6 mph. Today will have 15 hours and 7 minutes of daytime, an increase of one minute and 11 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low of 59 degrees at 5am. Two degrees below normal. Maximum dew point of 57 at 8pm. South wind 3 to 6 mph. In 2016, we had cloudy skies. It got down to 63 degrees. The record low of 47 occurred back in 1963.

Waffles again this morning as usual for breakfast. They always make a quick and easy breakfast. Not a whole lot of clean up either.  I am glad I bought that waffle maker as its really saves money and is much more delicious and probably healthier than the frozen ones. I should make up eggs because I have a lot of them still left but I don’t have any cheese and it’s more work to clean the dishes.

I am thinking about going out to Partridge Run this afternoon and doing some hiking and fishing. I don’t think I will bother with the kayak today. I might also check out the Game Farm Road Preserve that the county now has out there.

As previously noted, there are 3 weeks until National Cheese Cake Day when the sun will be setting at 8:17 pm with dusk at 8:49 pm. On that day in 2016, we had rain, mostly cloudy skies and temperatures between 79 and 64 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 82 degrees. We hit a record high of 100 back in 1933.
