Good evening! Currently mostly cloudy and 52 degrees in Delmar. Breezy, 17 mph breeze from the west-northwest. Kind of a chilly evening for June, especially with the breeze.

Slight chance of showers and cool for tonight. We will have a slight chance of showers before 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. West wind 11 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. The normal low for tonight is 55, so it will be about six degrees below normal. The record low of 37 occured back in 1977.

Good evening! Currently mostly cloudy and 60 degrees in Albany. Windy, with a stiff breeze running around 26 mph the west-northwest. While not the nicest evening, I think it was a pretty good day.

Going to be relatively cool tonight. There is a chance of isolated showers before 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. Breezy, with a west wind 18 to 23 mph decreasing to 11 to 16 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. The normal low for tonight is 55, so it will be about seven degrees below normal. The record low of 37 occured back in 1977.

The lower temperatures expected for the weekend should hopefully help to keep the black flies in check. Which definitely is a good thing. I actually think a cooler weekend will be quite pleasant as long as it doesn’t rain much.

If this summer is that warm, I plan to spend a lot of time at the Potholers. Which so far this summer hasn’t been real warm.

On this day in 1968, Robert F. Kennedy’s funeral takes place at the St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. While it’s true that many prime voters today can assassination of John F. Kennedy and Bobby Kennedy in another decade there will be many fewer of them. It’s bound to change how people perceive politics. I think it’s wonderful that they have been doing so much documentation of the neighborhoods that disappeared with construction of the Empire State Plaza as few will remember a time before the plaza in another decade.
