Six Months Ago

Six months ago was July 8, 2014. It was a pleasant day, with sunny conditions and a high temperature of 85 but low humidity. The dew point that day was 54 degrees, with 60% humidity. There was a light southerly breeze most of the day.

Frigid Thursday

Good morning, and in case you don’t believe the radio it’s a frigid Thursday. The sun is shining but mercury is a few degrees below zero.

That didn’t stop me from walking down to the Park and Ride, mainly because I’m nuts and I much prefer riding the express to the local.

In my shitty little apartment in the suburbs the heat had a bit of trouble keeping up with the cold, despite leaving it turned up. It was fine though, with after turning electric heat upstairs and the oven cooking breakfast downstairs.

Negative Six in the grand scheme of things isn’t that cold but nowadays those extremely cold nights are uncommon even in the dead of winter.

I just figure the cold is a necessary evil if we are going to get to spring. Plus I have heat but not air conditioning in my shitty little apartment, so honestly it’s more comfortable in the cold then hot –  although I’ll take the hot because then I can go camping in the Adirondacks.

On that note, I conclude this bus blog post.
