It looks like these white pine logs are cut to length and are perfectly good wood, but they just didn't have room on the truck for them and left them behind.

This area is very steep, probably why the farm originally here failed, and why the CCC planted trees here to attempt to recover this land for something useful.

Nitrogen Pellets
I though the Pine Bush was the Pine Bush in a large part because it was nitrogen deficient. Why is the commission spreading nitrogen onto the soil here?
