September 24, 2015 morning

Good morning on this second day of autumn. Not much evidence of colors changing at this point but that’s not unusual in the city. It was 48 degrees when I awoke but already up to 54 degrees and will climb to 76 degrees by afternoon. The midpoint in the day is 12:46 PM as we get closer to having days where the nights are longer than the days.

This weekend is Moosefest in Indian Lake. Going up there with Mom and Dad. I hope the colors are nice up at Moose River Plains. It gets cold and snowy up there early most years, which is why a 4×4 or snow chains are required come October.

Starting to look half seriously about going down to the Dolly Sands portion of West Virginia. I need to figure out where I will camp mid-state Pennsylvania but this is the year to do it with low gas prices and the free time at work to do it. I bet West Virginia is a  very different state then New York but then again Appalachia is likely the same wherever you go.
