October 4, 2020 Morning

Good morning! Happy Last Sunset After 6:30 PM πŸŒ†! Four weeks to November πŸ₯§. Don’t forget we set the clocks back one hour at Daylight Savings Time ends November 1st. So it will be only 8 am that day but the mornings will be brighter. Partly sunny and 36 degrees in Delmar, NY. Calm wind. I kind of regret leaving my windows open later night ⬜ it’s kind of cold this morning. ❄

After having eggs πŸ₯š the past few days for breakfast, today it was pancakes πŸ₯ž I blueberry sauce for a change. Still haven’t gotten butter or contact solution 🍢midday on Monday for a few supplies. πŸ›’

Today will have patchy fog before 9am. Patchy frost before 8am. Otherwise, partly sunny 🌞, with a high of 61 degrees at 3pm. Four degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around October 12th. Calm wind becoming southeast around 6 mph in the afternoon. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning with a few breaks of sun the afternoon. The high last year was 59 degrees. The record high of 86 was set in 1891. 6.5 inches of snow fell back in 1987.❄

I decided to go up to Partridge Run this morning 🌲🍁🐦🐿️ although already starting to cloud πŸŒ₯ up for a nice most of the day walk to enjoy the leaves. Mostly just a road hike but I might do some trails too to complete the loop.

Solar noon 🌞 is at 12:45 pm with sun having an altitude of 42.8Β° from the due south horizon (-28Β° vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 6.5 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour πŸ… starts at 5:55 pm with the sun in the west-southwest (258Β°). πŸ“Έ The sunset is in the west (265Β°) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 6:32 pm after setting for 2 minutes and 55 seconds with dusk around 6:59 pm, which is one minute and 44 seconds earlier than yesterday. πŸŒ‡ The best time to look at the stars is after 7:33 pm. At sunset, look for mostly cloudy skies ☁ and temperatures around 58 degrees. There will be a calm wind. Today will have 11 hours and 34 minutes of daytime, a decrease of 2 minutes and 52 seconds over yesterday.

After hiking the plan is to go to the parents house for Sunday dinner 🍲. Probably be too cold to eat outside but that’s fine. It should though be a nice day for hiking if the clouds πŸŒ₯ don’t push in too early.

Tonight will have a slight chance of showers after 1am. Mostly cloudy 🌧, with a low of 45 degrees at 4am. Two degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around October 2nd. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 20%. In 2019, we had mostly clear skies in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 34 degrees. The record low of 26 occurred back in 1965.

I soaked and scrubbed my socks 🧦 in preparation for washing them today. The come out a lot cleaner that way. I tossed a few of them in with the paper trash to burn πŸ”₯ that had a lot of holes figuring they were just cotton but fished them out figuring I can still recycle β™» them as they still have free cloth and shoe recycling πŸ‘’ and I’ll probably drop off my old boots and worn out clothes once I get new boots next week. My current boots have worn holes through their soles but otherwise are in decent condition.

Looking ahead, there are 4 weeks until November πŸ₯§ when the sun will be setting at 4:47 pm with dusk at 5:17 pm (Standard Time). On that day in 2019, we had cloudy skies, rain showers and temperatures between 70 and 42 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 54 degrees. We hit a record high of 78 back in 1950.

August 14, 2020 8 PM Update

Good evening! Mostly clear and 76 degrees at the Finger Lakes National Forest. 🌌There is a north breeze at 6 mph. πŸƒ. The dew point is 60 degrees.

It was a nice day hiking the Catherine Valley Rail Trail πŸš‚. Not the most exciting trail ever but a nice walk through some well managed and scenic woods. A lot of it was timber country that is leased to a local hunting club. πŸ¦ŒπŸ¦ƒπŸ¦† Some road noise from NY 14 but it ran pretty high above the valley on dirt viaducts cut into the mountainside.

In the afternoon I went for a swim at Watkins Glen State Park. πŸŠπŸ»β€β™‚οΈ I thought the pool was too crowded for social distancing at four o’clock so I hopped out and by five it had thinned out so then I hopped in the pool. One thing nice about the Finger Lakes is the swimming areas are all open until 7 pm. ☺

I thought about swimming at Enfield Gorge or at the Cayuga Lake beach πŸ– at Taughannock State Park but I feel like those bathrooms 🚿 are more cramped and less clean, and the natural water is not chlorinated so I’m hesitant. Plus the beach areas are smaller and cramped making social distancing more difficult.

I got ice cream one more time at Glen Dairy Bar 🍧this time an apple sundae. 🍏I think this will be the last one for this trip, I’m kind of tired 😴 of eating so much ice cream. It’s been fun while it lasted during this trip. I told myself ice cream 🍦nearly there would be my special little treat.

Watched the sunset πŸŒ‡ from off Ball Diamond Road in the National Forest pasture again tonight. Another nice sunset, always pretty watching the sun set over the hills of the Finger Lakes and Seneca Lake.

Walked down to Foster Pond and watched the stars ✨ for a while. Saw four shooting stars 🌠including one that was really bright and lit up the sky. Ended up falling asleep and was awoken by a bunch of drunk kids rafting in plastic blow up rafts on Foster Pond. πŸ›₯️ One of them offered me a partially drink can of white claw, during the pandemic. 🍻 I declined and walked back to camp.

Running low on drinking water πŸ’¦ and wanting something sweet I packed apple 🍏 juice for hiking today. That was fine until I cross threaded the canteen and it leaked over my backpack. Fortunately I decided to leave the binoculars and camera πŸ“Έ in the truck. A bee was attracted to the backpack got stung in the arm. 🐝 That hurt. The backpack was washed in the shower 🚿 and is drying now. Drank too much apple juice today and now I have the runs a bit. πŸ’© Hello bucket shitter! Getting full, going to emptied and buried ⚰ tomorrow when I break camp.

Tonight will be mostly clear πŸŒƒ, with a low of 63 degrees at 5am. Three degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 62 at 9pm. North wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight. In 2019, we had mostly clear skies. It got down to 62 degrees. The record low of 48 occurred back in 1964.

Tonight will have a Waining Crescent 🌘 Moon with 19% illuminated. The darkest hour is at 1:13 am, followed by dawn at 5:44 am, and sun starting to rise at 6:14 am in the east-northeast (70Β°) and last for 3 minutes and 4 seconds. Sunrise is one minute and 4 seconds later than yesterday. πŸŒ„ The golden hour ends at 6:53 am with sun in the east-northeast (76Β°). Tonight will have 10 hours and 5 minutes of darkness, an increase of 2 minutes and 31 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will be partly sunny 🌞, with a high of 81 degrees at 2pm. Typical for Tomorrow. Maximum dew point of 63 at 7am. South wind 3 to 7 mph. A year ago, we had partly cloudy skies. The high last year was 83 degrees. The record high of 96 was set in 1959. One thing to watch is clouds may push in fairly early tomorrow afternoon. ☁️

I am going to take a wait and see approach tomorrow. β›… I am afraid it might be quite choppy on Seneca Lake by afternoon to paddle. πŸ›Ά If it’s kind of gray and dark out I might stay at camp. Although there are some additional marsh trails in Watkins Glen that I was reading πŸ“– about I’m thinking πŸ’ about exploring.

In four weeks on September 11 the sun will be setting in the west (276Β°) at 7:23 pm,πŸŒ„ which is 46 minutes and 6 seconds earlier then tonight. In 2019 on that day, we had hot and humid weather that was partly sunny and temperatures between 87 and 66 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 74 and 54 degrees. The record high of 98 degrees was set back in 1931.

Looking ahead, Labor Day Weekend Begins πŸ‘¨β€πŸ in 3 weeks, September 11th πŸ‡Έ is in 4 weeks, 7 PM Sunset πŸŒ† is in 5 weeks, Average High is 65 πŸ‚ is in 7 weeks, Average Night Below Freezing 🌌 is in 13 weeks, Buy Nothing Day πŸ›οΈ is in 15 weeks, Average High is 40 🌨 is in 16 weeks, Bake Cookies Day πŸͺ is in 18 weeks, Christmas πŸŽ… is in 19 weeks, New Years Day 2020 πŸŽ‰ is in 20 weeks, Bubble Bath Day 🧼 is in 21 weeks, Coldest Week of the Year 🌬 is in 5 months, my 38th Birthday πŸŽ‰ is in 24 weeks and Valentines Day ❀️ is in 6 months.

Clouds Hanging Low

June 24, 2020 Night

Good evening! Mostly clear and 56 degrees at Horseshoe Lake. πŸŒƒ There is a west-southwest breeze at 5 mph. πŸƒ. The dew point is 48 degrees. Final night here, my three nights here expires comes morning.

So the plan is to break camp early tomorrow β›Ί and then head down to Horseshoe Lake for a paddle. Already the flags 🎌 are down, hammock and gear is organized for a quick pack. At lunch time I’ll go to Tupper Lake for milk and ice ❄ and work using the village maybe upload some stuff to the blog. At five o’clock I’m going to head up to the Saranac Lake Wild Forest or St. Regis Canoe Area where I have cell service and work there Friday and then drive home Saturday I think. πŸš£πŸ‘―

Tonight will be partly cloudy 🌀, with a low of 52 degrees at 6am. Seven degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around June 1st. Maximum dew point of 51 at 12am. Southwest wind 3 to 8 mph. In 2019, we had mostly clear skies in the evening, which became rain by the early hours of the morning. It became sticky as the night progressed. It got down to 68 degrees. The record low of 45 occurred back in 1982.

Busy day at work, preparing a large memorandum report that ended up getting shelved πŸ“š for another project. The laptop battery held up fine and during lunch and later in the afternoon I plugged it into the truck to top it off.

Lows Ledge was pretty but clouds pushed in at the wrong time ☁ – they came in slightly after I arrive and departed after I left casting dark shadows on the land but I got some nice pictures πŸ“· at the end. Beautiful country up there. I’d love to paddle Hitchens Pond but with work and everything else I just don’t have the time. ⌚ I’m getting to hang out in some beautiful country but work has been crazy. It’s a road trip yes, but not really a vacation. I’m working every day including for a while on the weekend.

While seeing the bear and cubs 🐻 play in the tree was kind of cool, I wasn’t not happy seeing the bear so close to camp. He’s too comfortable with humans and I don’t want him breaking into my truck or tearing up camp. πŸ‘£ I thought about sending some bird shot in the woods away from him to send him packing but at the time my truck was parked out on the road soaking up sun for the solar and I didn’t have my shotgun right pm me. Hopefully he won’t be a problem tonight after tonight she’s somebody else’s problem.

Tonight will have a Waxing Crescent πŸŒ’ Moon with 16% illuminated. At 10 PM, the moon was in the west (280Β°) at an altitude of 17Β° from the horizon, some 231,151 miles away from where you are looking up from the earth. πŸš€ At the state speed limit of 55 mph, you’ll make it there by December 17th. Buckle up for safety! πŸ’Ί The moon will set in the west-northwest (296Β°) at 11:41 pm. The Buck 🦌 Moon is on Saturday, July 4. The darkest hour is at 1:01 am, followed by dawn at 4:39 am, and sun starting to rise at 5:16 am in the northeast (55Β°) and last for 3 minutes and 36 seconds. Sunrise is 20 seconds later than yesterday. πŸŒ„ The golden hour ends at 6:00 am with sun in the east-northeast (63Β°). East

June 4, 2020 Night

Good evening! Partly cloudy and 64 degrees at the Perkins Clearing. πŸŒƒ There is a southwest breeze at 5 mph. πŸƒ. The dew point is 55 degrees. A pretty nice evening to be up in the Adirondacks.

It is nice to be up north camping β›Ί but don’t get me wrong, it was still very much so a working day. I might of set up camp at the same end of the day but for most of the day I was actually quite busy. But I plan to work from camp tomorrow and heavierhave a quiet weekend, probably just hiking from camp to fishing and swimming holes. 🏊 That said by Sunday the high is only going to be around 70 and if I move to a different campsite come Monday highs will only be in the sixties.

It was a long trip north. πŸš™ Traffic seemed a bit heavier with the lock down ending πŸ”“ and the fact I left about a half hour later as I didn’t need to get a campsite before work. I’ve been staying up too late lately and tonight is no exception although there is no reason for me to get up early tomorrow morning and even less for Saturday. Yes I have to clock in a nine but I can still be cooking breakfast 🍳 while I boot the laptop and clock in. All the wires and power is run for the morning, setting up should be a breeze.

With the wind this afternoon πŸƒ I ended up working from my truck at the Speculator Library. I found it hard to hear client calls πŸ“ž by the lake and it looks bad if they could hear waves cashing in the background. It wasn’t super hot today and while it was pleasant working down by the lake I wanted to have unrestricted internet so I could watch YouTube in a picture in pictures window while I worked. πŸ’»

Believe it or not the bugs 🐜 are worse now than a two weeks ago over Memorial Day Weekend. Only black flies then but now the horse flies are out as are some mosquitoes. The screen tent πŸŽͺ helps a lot if I’m careful not to let them in but even after dark the hammock ain’t that great.

That said by 9 pm the worst of the bugs were done 🐜 and I had a big ol fire around ten once the wind diedπŸ”₯. Stayed up another two hours, partly next to the fire and partially in the hammock. Too many clouds ☁ to get a good view of the full moon πŸŒ• or see the land all lit in moonlight.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy πŸŒ₯, with a low of 57 degrees at 4am. Four degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical night around June 15th. Maximum dew point of 57 at 6am. Southwest wind around 5 mph. In 2019, we had light rain in the evening, which became cloudy by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 55 degrees. The record low of 39 occurred back in 1990.

Tonight will have a Full 🌝 Moon with 99% illuminated. At 11 PM, the moon was in the south-southeast (158Β°) at an altitude of 24Β° from the horizon, some 230,582 miles away from where you are looking up from the earth. πŸš€ At the state speed limit of 55 mph, you’ll make it there by November 26th. Buckle up for safety! πŸ’Ί The Strawberry πŸ“ Moon is on Friday, June 5. The darkest hour is at 12:57 am, followed by dawn at 4:44 am, and sun starting to rise at 5:19 am in the east-northeast (57Β°) and last for 3 minutes and 29 seconds. Sunrise is 23 seconds earlier than yesterday. πŸŒ„ The golden hour ends at 6:02 am with sun in the east-northeast (65Β°). Tonight will have 8 hours and 42 minutes of darkness, a decrease of one minute and 5 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will have a slight chance of showers between 10am and 11am, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11am. Partly sunny , with a high of 79 degrees at 3pm. Four degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around June 17th. Maximum dew point of 60 at 8am. Southwest wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. A year ago, we had partly cloudy skies in the morning, which became light rain by afternoon. The high last year was 83 degrees. The record high of 97 was set in 1925.

In four weeks on July 2 the sun will be setting in the west-northwest (303Β°) at 8:42 pm,πŸŒ„ which is 7 minutes and 49 seconds later then tonight. In 2019 on that day, we had partly sunny and temperatures between 84 and 65 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 82 and 60 degrees. The record high of 98 degrees was set back in 1966.

Middle Lake 3

December 24, 2019 Night

Good evening on this Christmas Eve 🕯️ ! Partly cloudy and 27 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a north breeze at 5 mph. 🍃. There are 2 inches of snow on the ground. β˜ƒ ️Things will start to thaw out at tomorrow around noontime. 🌡️

Had a nice lunch with the parents and my neice and sister 👪 and we exchanged presents 📦. We had macaroni and cheese for lunch although I guess tomorrow my parents are also doing a formal Christmas dinner 🍲. My neice is already getting close to four, I remember her baby shower a few years ago 👶. She’s got such a large vocabulary and is so smart being plugged into the whole Saratoga scene.

Hiking Bennett Hill was nice but I need to repair microspikes that I strap on my boots 👢. One of them had a wire break while another had a chain 🔗 pop loose. Easy enough to fix but walking back after sunset with the microspikes off it was slippery and I sort of twisted my ankle a bit. I’m fine though. I did enjoy the sunset and the rural agricultural landscape. 🚜 I miss that so much living in the city even though I do live far enough on the outskirts of the city I can still tell when the farm down the street is spreading manure. 💩 Someday I’ll move to some rural areas a few miles out from a small town like an Oneida or a Utica or a Plattsburgh but not in New York with all the gun laws and fire restrictions.β›” But in the mean time, next week’s road trip should be great.

I was going to go out for my evening walk 🚶 after I got back from hiking Bennett Hill but I was tired and got watching the YouTube videos I downloaded this week. 🎥 I probably watch too much but at least it’s add free and a lot of stuff I watch is educational even if it’s not as good as reading 📖. When I’m camping in the Finger Lakes next week I’ll do a lot more reading for sure. I thought about riding the exercise bike 🚲 but I’m not sure if my neighbor was home – his lights were off but his car 🚙 was in the drive. I think he may have gone to the city on a bus or with a designated driver. 🍻 I’m still not sure if I’m coming down with something or it’s the Lyme disease. I am feeling again like I was in early November. I’m not thinking 💭 it will impact my trip next weekend but who knows.

I was watching this amazing video of a weather balloon with a camera floating up from earth to the stratosphere. ☁ I guess the same thing you’d see on a plane ✈ but I haven’t been on an airplane in years and it’s fascinating to see the different – and quite thin layer that seperates all of mankind from the vast emptiness of outer space that is extremely hostile to all life. 🌎 The atmosphere is really only a few miles thick. Honestly, I really like the idea of the Space Force and a greater emphasis on the understanding of the earth’s climate and the boundaries between space and the earth. 🚀

Christmas Eve will be partly cloudy 🌤, with a low of 19 degrees at 5am. One degree above normal, which is similar to a typical night around December 23rd. Maximum wind chill around 15 at 4am; Northwest wind 3 to 5 mph. In 2018, we had light snow in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 24 degrees. The record low of -22 occurred back in 1969.

Tonight will have a New Moon. 🌚 Not much too see though as tonight is fairly cloudy. The sun will rise at 7:23 am with the first light at 6:51 am, which is 25 seconds later than yesterday. 🌄 Tonight will have 14 hours and 57 minutes of darkness, a decrease of 11 seconds over last night.

Christmas Day will be mostly sunny 🌞, with a high of 38 degrees at 3pm. Five degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around December 10th. I think that’s a bit too optimistic based on other forecasts I’ve seen lately but so be it. I’m thinking more clouds. Calm wind becoming south around 6 mph. I have less than a quarter tank of gas in my truck β›½ so I have to be careful how far I go. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning with some clearing in the afternoon. The high last year was 35 degrees. The record high of 66 was set in 1889. 19.2 inches of snow fell back in 2002.❄

A week from now will be New Year Eve 🎉and my final night of my Finger Lakes camping adventure. It should be a nice trip but the second day might be quite rainy β˜” based on the forecast but a good chance to get through a book of two in the tent, sitting next to the heater 🎪. They have even less snow there than here at this point, I think it will totally be gone by the time I get there – but fortunately not so muddy because it is expected to be a fairly dry week until Sunday out there. At least next Sunday will give me a chance to do a lot of reading 📖 and maybe some writing too.

For Christmas 🎄my parents got me a nice little rechargeable lantern 🏮 that is perfect in the tent for reading at night especially with the nights so long now and the heater adding to the ambiance. Although also I’m looking forward to some long winter nights and hopefully getting the quality sleep that seems impossible lately at home – it’s terrible 😰 how I keep waking up at 3 or 4 each morning and can’t get back to sleep. 🎅 Maybe it’s Santa Claus waking me up each night, but it seems like every winter my sleep declines enormously. I think it’s too few nights in the woods. I still haven’t tested my big gas lantern, mainly because I have no where to hang it. I really should consider getting a lantern post but the thing is usually in the woods I have trees I can run a rope between to hang the lantern from. I really should do this tomorrow. And maybe start pulling stuff for camping from the attic. Gotta get my holiday decorations out tomorrow to hang at camp. . I’m hoping to also get a few extra Christmas lights and extension cords to use up at camp to replace broken and then cracked ones. 🔌

In four weeks on January 21 the sun will be setting at 4:53 pm,🌄 which is 27 minutes and 28 seconds later then tonight. In 2019 on that day, we had snow showers, cold weather, partly cloudy and temperatures between 5 and -7 degrees. That was a pretty cold day but not unheard of for January. My metrologist friend says he thinks late January this winter will be just as cold if not colder. I guess I wouldn’t mind the cold so much if my place had a better heater and more insulation. Typically, you have temperatures between 30 and 14 degrees. The record high of 61 degrees was set back in 2006.

Looking ahead, New Years Eve 🎆 is in 1 week, Coldest Week of the Year 🌬 is in 3 weeks, Martin Luther King Day 🖤 is in 4 weeks, Don’t Cry over Spilled Milk Day 🥛 is in 7 weeks, National Drink Wine Day 🍷 is in 8 weeks, St. Patrick’s Day 🍀 is in 12 weeks, 7:30 PM Sunset 🌇 is in 15 weeks, Cinco de Mayo 🤠 is in 19 weeks, Primary Day 🗳️ is in 26 weeks, Latest Sunset 🌆 is in 6 months, Election Day 2020 🗳️ is in 45 weeks and Election Day 2020 🗳️ is in 45 weeks.

 Purple Tree

December 24, 2019 Morning

Good morning! A very Merry Christmas Eve 🕯️ to you! Next Tuesday is New Years Eve 🎆. Mostly cloudy and around freezing in Delmar, NY. β›… There is a north-northwest breeze at 7 mph. 🍃. There is a inch of snow on the ground. β˜ƒ ️In some outlying areas there still is enough snow left for a White Christmas 🎄.

Dipping some gingerbread into coffee β˜• this morning, looking at the clouds as they start to break up. 🥮 Going to bake some cookies in a bit for the Christmas lunch I’m going to at my parents house later on today with my niece and sister. 🍪 Heading out there around noon or so.

Later on Christmas Eve 🕯️ will be sunny 🌞, with a high of 38 degrees at 1pm. Five degrees above normal, which is similar to a typical day around December 10th. North wind around 7 mph. I’ll take weather like that. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning with some clearing in the afternoon. The high last year was 40 degrees. I don’t remember it being so warm and sunny last year but I guess it was. I stayed in town last year for Christmas which was a Tuesday last year and went out camping New Years Eve after the Save the Pine Bush Hike. The record high of 72 was set in 2015. 13 inches of snow fell back in 1966.❄

The sun will set at 4:26 pm with dusk around 4:58 pm, which is 34 seconds later than yesterday. 🌇 At sunset, look for mostly clear skies 🌃 and temperatures around 36 degrees. Nice Christmas sunset! There will be a north breeze at 6 mph. Today will have 9 hours and 3 minutes of daytime, an increase of 9 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will be partly cloudy 🌤, with a low of 17 degrees at 6am. One degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around December 27th. North wind 3 to 6 mph. In 2018, we had light snow in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 24 degrees. The record low of -22 occurred back in 1969. Blizzard of the 1969!

I woke up early this morning but I got to back to asleep fairly easily. 😴 A little achy and sore today, I’ll probably take some aspirin and hopefully I’ll feel better later on. 🥴 Coffee β˜•and gingerbread 🥴 is good.

Doesn’t look too bad for starting out my road trip! β›… Saturday, partly sunny, with a high near 42. Sunday, a chance of rain or freezing rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Typical average high for the weekend is 32 degrees. Similar forecast for the Finger Lakes, maybe a bit warmer. Snow is largely gone at this point and will be totally gone by Saturday. I’m actually thinking about leaving on Friday mid-day and staying over in Madison County but I don’t know if I want to winter camp for just one night 🌃.

As previously noted, next Tuesday is New Years Eve 🎆 when the sun will be setting at 4:31 pm with dusk at 5:03 pm. It will be about fifteen minutes later out in the Finger Lakes. On that day in 2018, we had rain and temperatures between 41 and 29 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 32 degrees. We hit a record high of 61 back in 1895.
