October 2, 2016 Night

Good evening! Cloudy and 59 degrees in North Syracuse. There is a west-southwest breeze at 6 mph. The dew point is 58 degrees. While the estimated time for nicer weather keeps changing, now it looks like skies will clear Tuesday around 1 am.

I’m still up as I’ve been having trouble with the washing machine.Β Fortunately, I didn’t break it, the water was shut off so nothing actually washed. Once the owner turned the water up, I was back in business, but I’m still up for a while, waiting for the wash to get complete.

Definitely nice hiking at Green Lakes today,Β although I hope once the sun comes outΒ the leaves will be real pretty and I can get some nice pictures once the skies are blue again. Maybe later in the week. Traffic kind of sucks in the morning though.

Tonight will be scattered showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low of 55 degrees at 4am. 11 degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 58 at 11pm. Southwest wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. The record low of 29 occurred back in 1945. Waxing Crescent Moon was tonight with 14% illuminated.Β The First Quarter Moon is next Sunday at 4:33 am. The Full β€œHunter” Moon is in 2 weeks at 4:23 am.

Tomorrow will continue to have scattered showers, mainly before 5pm. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high of 65 degrees at 2pm. Typical for Tomorrow. Maximum dew point of 57 at 10am. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. The record high of 83 was set in 1967. The sun will rise at 7:04 am with the first light at 6:36 am, which is 1 minutes and 8 seconds later then yesterday.

Looking ahead,Β the Hunter Moon is in 2 weeks, First Day of Sunset Before 6 PM in Albany is in 3 weeks, National Candy Corn Day Day is in 4 weeks, Daylight Savings Time Ends is in 5 weeks, First Day on Average with Low of Freezing is in 6 weeks and Christmas is in 12 weeks.
