Good afternoon! Happy Saturday. Finally the weekend! Two weeks to Memorial Day Weekend with 15 Hours of Daylight. Those long summer days are nice but they don’t last. Rain and 52 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a southeast breeze at 7 mph. The dew point is 45 degrees. The skies will clear Monday around 6 pm.

Rain will continue. High of 55 degrees at 1pm. 14 degrees below normal. Maximum dew point of 48 at 4pm. Southeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. Cold and wet. A year ago, we had rain, fog, patches of fog, mist, cloudy skies and a high of 64 degrees. The record high of 86 was set in 2004. There was a dusting of snow in 1953.

The sun will set at 8:09 pm with dusk around 8:41 pm, which is one minute and 3 seconds later than yesterday. At sunset, look for rain and 51 degrees. The dew point will be 46 degrees. There will be a east breeze at 5 mph. Today will have 14 hours and 35 minutes of daytime, an increase of 2 minutes and 6 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will rain some more. Low of 44 degrees at 5am. Two degrees below normal. East wind around 5 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. In 2016, it got down to 46 degrees with rain and shallow fog and cloudy skies. The record low of 30 occurred back in 1996.

As previously noted, there are 2 weeks until 15 Hours of Daylight when the sun will be setting at 8:23 pm with dusk at 8:56 pm. On that day in 2016, we had thunderstorm with rain in the afternoon but otherwise mostly sunny skies and temperatures between 87 and 71 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 73 degrees. We hit a record high of 94 back in 1914.
