August 21, 2016 11 PM Update

Good evening! Light rain this evening and 71 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a west-southwest breeze at 8 mph. The dew point is 67 degrees. Kind of damp, wet and muggy evening.  The rain should be ending shortly. 

Tonight will have showers likely, mainly before 11pm. The rain could be heavy at times. Mostly cloudy, with a low of 62 degrees at 5am. Three degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 67 at 10pm. West wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible. The record low of 39 occurred back in 1982.

Waning Gibbous Moon tonight with 70% illuminated. The Last Quarter Moon is on Thursday with chance of t-storms expected. The Full β€œCorn” Moon is on Friday, September 16th. I know I’m enjoying the sweet corn now and will be sad when the frost comes and it’s no more. 

The sun will rise at 6:09 am with the first light at 5:40 am, which is 1 minutes and 4 seconds later then yesterday.

Tomorrow will be mostly sunny, with a high of 75 degrees at 2pm. Five degrees below normal. A very nice day but somewhat cool.  Maximum dew point of 59 at 6am. By 5 pm expect a dew point around 51 or 50 β€” very clear and dry.   Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph. The record high of 93 was set in 1916.
