August 16, 2016 10 PM Update

Good evening! Mostly cloudy and 79 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a south breeze at 13 mph. The dew point is 72 degrees. It’s pretty sticky but with the breeze is tolerable. The skies will clear tomorrow around 11 am.

Tonight will have showers and thunderstorms likely before 2am, then a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low of 73 degrees at 6am. 13 degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 72 at 10pm. Southwest wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. The record low of 40 occurred back in 1979.

Back from my evening walk. Not so hot this evening compared to the weekend. Earlier in the evening, went to the library. Uploaded some Google Maps but it turned out the code was broken and the color ramp came out all messed up up. Cooked up some chicken strips in the oven, which I didn’t realize until yesterday weren’t pre-cooked. But it wasn’t too hot and it came out fine.

Gotten to the point where the sun is setting too early to go to the park after work, so now I usually end up going to the library for Wifi. I like the park better but lately it seems like it’s pitch black at the park earlier. I don’t feel safe walking home after dark on the main road after dark without sidewalks.

Almost the full moon tonight. Thunderstorms are coming through later but for now it’s mostly cloudy with the moonlight peaking through the clouds with stars in a few places.

Enjoying a Corona or two out back on the tailgate of my truck. The crickets are loud this evening. The bed is all lit up by the lights. Been backing in my truck at home so I can use the tailgate as a table as I sit out back. Works well.

Getting away from the longer posts. Expect shorter more creative blog posts in the future.

Sunrise at 6:03 am tomorrow. Cloudy tomorrow morning but clearing later in the afternoon. Seasonable weather tomorrow, high around 83 degrees.
