Near Campsite 25

The colors were pretty dull in most of Moose River Plains over the past weekend but in places the colors were starting to turn and be quite beautiful.

September 29, 2015 afternoon

Good afternoon. Currently 70 degrees and a break in the rain. Heavier rain is just to the north of Albany. The rain will be back later this afternoon, expect multiple inches of rain by the end of the storm. It will help make up for the dry conditions of late.

Kind of a dreary evening on tap. I have to get out grocery shopping and probably will drive down to the library. Might try to get to Lowe’s and pick up an LED candle bulb to replace the eight year old mini florescent bulb that has been failing for years.

Traffic is moving well on 787 tonight with typical school session delays. I’m glad the rain held off for the evening commute. Tomorrow afternoon will likely be wetter with more rain related crashes slowing traffic up.

Later in the week I need to get my truck inspected and the tires rotated. The tire rotation is the priority but the inspection is also due. I want to get the tires rotated before I take any big fall trips.

Below The Dam

Some decent colors below Wakely Dam, although not as spectacular as I've seen in years past up there. But great blue skies.

Winter !

Tomorrow they are predicting 2.5 – 3.0 inches of rain tomorrow. If the temperature was about 30 degrees colder then predicted, Albany wouldΒ beΒ receiving 25 to 30 inches of snow.
