I didn't dare go out there, fall off, and drown in the 3-4 foot waves and 50+ mph. Calmer days in the fall, I've been almost out to the end.

With the 50+ mph winds, it probably was good wind surfing, minus the crazy surf along Lake Champlain.

Believe it or not, it was open on this rather rough day, with not the nicest weather. So if you want to go swimming in some rough surf, you could, with lifeguards watching you.
