I was wondering how this trash ended up top of the mountain, but after thinking about it a bit, it probably was trash from the ranger's cabin, that was dumped here some time in the past, and was dug up in the re-construction of the helipad.

One of the most interesting parts of the Wakley Fire Tower, is that the original tower lacked stairs and only had a ladder, as was standard on the lightweight Aermotor LT20 firetowers. The stairs, where also made by Aermotor, and where added in 1919.
