July 2, 2021 Morning

Good morning! Yeah, it’s Friday! Working from home today, which is good because I’ve been staying up too late, although I did find time โŒš for my morning walk ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿป before work Two weeks to Last Sunset After 8:30 PM ๐ŸŒ†. Days already are getting shorter, although fortunately in a few weeks when I go to the Finger Lakes that they’ll be longer due to being farther west. Cloudy, damp and 64 degrees in Delmar. โ˜๏ธ Calm wind. The dew point is 62 degrees. The skies will clear Sunday around 6 am.

Today will have showers likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 11am. Cloudy ๐ŸŒฆ, with a high of 69 degrees at 2pm. 14 degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around May 9th. Maximum dew point of 63 at 9am. Light and variable wind becoming northeast around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning, which became light thunderstorm by afternoon. It was sticky. The high last year was 93 degrees. The record high of 98 was set in 1966.

Assuming it’s not pouring rain โ˜” by afternoon, I will probably work down at the library ๐Ÿ“š for most of the afternoon. I like the faster internet connection and not having to watch the meter. I also want to browse the library and get some summer reading ๐Ÿ“– for the first time in a while. It’s been so long since I’ve spent much time in the library, although I guess I was there for a couple of hours last week.

Solar noon ๐ŸŒž is at 1:00 pm with sun having an altitude of 70.4ยฐ from the due south horizon (-0.4ยฐ vs. 6/21). A six foot person will cast a 2.1 foot shadow today compared to 2.2 feet on the first day of summer. The golden hour ๐Ÿ… starts at 7:55 pm with the sun in the west-northwest (296ยฐ). ๐Ÿ“ธ The sunset is in the west-northwest (303ยฐ) with the sun dropping below the horizon at 8:38 pm after setting for 3 minutes and 27 seconds with dusk around 9:11 pm, which is 11 seconds earlier than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ The best time to look at the stars is after 9:57 pm. At sunset, look for rain ๐ŸŒง and thunderstorms ๐ŸŒฉ and temperatures around 61 degrees. The dew point will be 58 degrees. There will be a east breeze at 6 mph. Today will have 15 hours and 14 minutes of daytime, a decrease of 44 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will have a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy ๐ŸŒง, with a low of 56 degrees at 5am. Six degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around June 11th. Maximum dew point of 60 at 6pm. East wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. In 2020, we had mostly clear skies. It was very sticky. It got down to 68 degrees. The record low of 44 occurred back in 1978.

On this day in 1962, The first Wal-Mart store opens for business in Rogers, Arkansas. ๐Ÿ›’ I know people talk shit about Wally World but it’s my go to place as it’s convenient, one stop shopping tit has everything I need. Two years later, President Johnson would sign the Civil Rights Act of 1964 into law on the same day. I’ve been doing a lot of though about racism, kind of like millions of other Americans these days.

Tomorrow will have a chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. Mostly cloudy ๐ŸŒฆ, with a high of 64 degrees at 2pm. 19 degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around April 26th. Maximum dew point of 57 at 3pm. Light north wind. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies in the morning, which became light thunderstorm by afternoon. It was sticky. The high last year was 83 degrees. The record high of 102 was set in 1911.

Looking ahead to Sunday, Independence Day ๐ŸŽ‡ there is a slight chance of rain showers before 2pm, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 69. North wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. New rainfall amounts less than a tenth of an inch possible. Very cold Independence Day Weekend, maybe one of the coldest om record. Typical average high for the weekend is 83 degrees. Wasn’t Memorial Day Weekend kind of the same thing?

I am staying in town this weekend. ๐ŸŒฅ Going to take the Nature Bus ๐Ÿš to Thacher Park assuming that it’s not pouring rain. If we get showers, I’ll hide out under a pavilion or sit up on the deck at the Visitor’s Center where they have the Adirondack Chairs. Not sure what the plans are for independence Day, I could wilderness tent camp locally โ›บ or maybe do a hike somewhere. It’s just going to be so cold but probably clear.

I canceled my therapy session for next week but I have the eye doctor ๐Ÿ‘€ in the morning and I’m thinking of heading to the Adirondacks after that. Not sure how long I’ll stay up north although I probably won’t take Monday off unless it’s nice. I would like a nice weekend if in the Adirondacks. I do think a future counseling session would be good ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€โš•๏ธbut I need to know what I want to talk about and maybe with a different counselor that takes my concerns more seriously. But I’m also trying to learn some new coping and mental health skills from YouTube.

As previously noted, there are 2 weeks until Last Sunset After 8:30 PM ๐ŸŒ† when the sun will be setting at 8:30 pm with dusk at 9:04 pm. On that day in 2020, we had rain and temperatures between 80 and 65 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 84 degrees. We hit a record high of 97 back in 1900.

Branch Pond Road

Nature Bus

A few years back, the NY Parks Commissioner insisted that they charge parking fees to discourage the colored from using them.

But I don’t like fees and I like colorful things, so I’m glad they have that free nature bus this year.

Thompsons Lake...

It was a pretty nice day.

  • I got a pretty late start as I got looking at figuring out how to patch some buggy blog code and lost track of the time
  • Started out, left my mask home, which I need for the bus. Had to run back home
  • Spent some time at Five Rivers Environmental Education Center as I had to wait for the second bus
  • Took the second electric bus to Thacher Park and walked up to Thompsons Lake for an hour swimming up there
  • That lake is mucky for swimming and the beach was packed but it was free
  • Walked back to Thacher Park Visitors Center and then sat in the Adirondack Chairs they have there. No real comfortable
  • Had lunch and refilled my water bottle
  • I hate that new Visitor’s Center, it’s ugly, but the bathrooms are decent as is the water bottle refill fountain
  • Hung my hammock out by Paint Mine and laid back for a couple of hours watching a video and doing some reading
  • Nice cool breeze up in Thacher Park
  • Caught the electric bus back to Five Rivers

September 1, 2019 Night

Good evening! Cloudy and 60 degrees at the Perkins Clearing. โ˜ There is a south-southeast breeze at 7 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. The dew point is 53 degrees. A few sprinkles here and there but no heavy rain yet. Kind of a dark and breezy nih in the woods. ๐Ÿ’จThe skies will clear Tuesday around 8 am.

A very brief rain shower โ˜” made me take down the hammock and grab the rain coat but as quick as it came it stopped. I sat by the fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ for a while but decided to hang up my hammock after I leaned over and my chair snapped. I’m not surprised ๐Ÿ˜ฒ, I knew it was about to break. I usually only get about a year out of those camp chairs unfortunately. I’ll leave the old one at Walmart for landfill disposal and pick up a new one the next time I’m there.

The wind ๐Ÿƒ caught one of the candles on the ground on fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ and proceeded to start a minor grass fire. ๐ŸŒพ I was able to stomp it out but I had no idea how combustible the grass was up here.

I fully expect in a few hours maybe less it will start to pour. ๐Ÿ’ฆ But I have everything put away that shouldn’t get wet or would otherwise require drying when I got home. It may very well be a quite wet night but it’s been a good long weekend up north and this campsite is well drained so I expect no flooding here at camp. Probably leave fairly early tomorrow and drive home in the rain and get unpacked. ๐Ÿก Not a big deal. Probably next weekend I’ll stay in town. The following week I’m heading down to New York for work so it will be nice to have a weekend just at home.

Tonight will have showers likely, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after midnight. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. ๐ŸŒง Low of 56 degrees at 4am. Two degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical night around September 6th. Maximum dew point of 56 at 12am. ๐Ÿ–๏ธ South wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible. In 2018, we had cloudy skies in the evening, which became mostly clear by the early hours of the morning. It was humid. It got down to 66 degrees. The record low of 38 occurred back in 2017.

Tonight will have a Waxing Crescent Moon ๐ŸŒ’ with 19% illuminated. The moon will rise at 10:05 am. The First Quarter Moon is on Wednesday night with a chance of showers then partly cloudy skies. The Harvest Moon ๐ŸŒ is on Friday, September 13th. The sun will rise at 6:22 am with the first light at 5:52 am, which is one minute and 7 seconds later than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ„ Tonight will have 10 hours and 50 minutes of darkness, an increase of 2 minutes and 52 seconds over last night.

Labor Day will have showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before 4pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. ๐ŸŒง High of 66 degrees at 3pm. 11 degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around September 30th. Maximum dew point of 60 at 1pm. ๐Ÿ–๏ธ South wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible. A year ago, we had partly cloudy skies in the morning, remaining cloudy in the afternoon. It was somewhat humid. The high last year was 83 degrees. The record high of 100 was set in 1953.

Today was kind of a lazy day. I reolacd the other burner in the camp stove and reglued the knob that had come loose and it seems like both burners are working good in the stove. โ™จ With colder weather ahead I plan to be doing more cooking. I did go for a brief walk but I didn’t hear much squirrel activity I think due to the unstable weather. So it was spaghetti ๐Ÿ and meatballs for dinner. At least it seems like both burners are working well on the camp stove. The bulk of the day was spent reading ๐Ÿ“– a book in my hammock about the mission creep of the defense department. As defense increasingly becomes the only department that politicians want to fund, its mission keeps expanding. ๐Ÿ’ฃ

This upcoming week I want to hook up the low voltage disconnect reset button again ๐Ÿ”˜in case I ever need to reset the power while camping on these longer nights. Doesn’t happen raglan anymore but I hate to be plunged into darkness without an easy way to restore power to the truck cap.

In four weeks on September 29 the sun will be setting at 6:41 pm,๐ŸŒ„ which is 50 minutes and 47 seconds earlier then tonight. In 2018 on that day, we had mostly sunny, patches of fog and temperatures between 68 and 47 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 67 and 46 degrees. The record high of 86 degrees was set back in 1921.

Looking ahead, Autumn ๐Ÿ‚ is in 3 weeks, October ๐Ÿ›ฅ is a month away and Average High is 60 ๐Ÿ‚ is in 6 weeks.

July 21, 2019 Night

Good evening! Partly clear and 71 degrees at the Finger Lakes National Forest. There is a west-northwest breeze at 5 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. The dew point is 62 degrees. It’s rapidly becoming a nicer evening, even a bit cool as the dew point is dropping as is the mercury. I doubt I’ll be running the fan much if at all tonight.

It was a fun day first hanging out at camp, laying back in the hammock under the deep blue skies and then making a nice breakfast. Then I kind of procrastined in securing camp ๐Ÿ”’ and getting firewood before heading out for the day.

I spent most of the afternoon at the pool ๐ŸŠ at Watkins Glen State Park until around six o’clock when the kicked everyone out because of a high reading of chlorine in the pool. Probably with so many people in the pool and less than expected evaporation, things got overdosed. Earlier in the day people mentioned a chlorine smell in the locker room but I did not notice it. My nose ๐Ÿ‘ƒ also was a bit sore, I’m wondering if it was irritated by the chlorine. But it was fine, I was already on my final swim of the evening and was going to get to shower ๐Ÿšฟ in before they closed and it got too late. The only thing that sucked is everybody was trying to get a shower at once in the end because everybody got out of the pool at once and the lifeguards highly recommended everyone take a shower as soon as possible to avoid skin irritation from the chlorine. It probably is just standard procedure when there is a technical violation of the chlorine standard.

I love the Adirondack chairs and the terrace above the swimming pool for sitting out in the sun โ˜€ up there but at 84 degrees the pool was uncomfortably warm and crowded. I think on Tuesday, my final day full day in the Finger Lakes, I might do Robert Treman one more time as Enfield Glen is so refreshing if not cold then end the day in Watkins Glen. Probably hike both glens too besides swimming. .

After I finally got a shower, I drove down to Glen Dairy Bar and got a large butternut soft ice cream sundae. I was pretty happy with it. ๐ŸจThey always have good ice cream. On Tuesday when I’m thinking I’ll get their hot apple pie sundae. ๐Ÿ That’s also a very good treat. I then went Walmart and ended up turning over to Clute Park and watching the sunset. I also pulled over at Hector Falls and took a few pictures. I got the groceries and supplies I need so I can stay at camp tomorrow and just hike to Foster or Potomac Pond to do some fishing ๐ŸŽฃ on what should be the most cloudy and cool day of vacation.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy ๐ŸŒฅ, with a low of 66 degrees at 2am. Four degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 62 at 10pm. West wind 3 to 5 mph. In 2018, we had mostly clear skies in the evening, which became cloudy by the early hours of the morning. It became sticky as the night progressed. It got down to 64 degrees. The record low of 47 occurred back in 1970.

Tonight will have a Waning Gibbous Moon ๐ŸŒ– with 68% illuminated. The Last Quarter Moon is on Tuesday night with mostly clear skies. The Strugeon Moon ๐ŸŒ is on Wednesday, August 14th. The sun will rise at 5:48 am with the first light at 5:15 am, which is 56 seconds later than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ„ Tonight will have 9 hours and 12 minutes of darkness, an increase of one minute and 46 seconds over last night.

In a little bit I’m going to hike back over to Foster Pond for some star gazing and hopefully to see the actual moon rising tonight. ๐ŸŽ‘ It’s clearer than I had expected and I’m on vacation so I can hang out there as late as I want. Tomorrow isn’t going to be a real nice day so I might as well sleep on as late as possible.

Tomorrow will have showers likely, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. ๐ŸŒฆ High of 70 degrees at 5pm. 13 degrees below normal, which is similar to a typical day around September 21st. Kind of like the first day of autumn, although it’s always colder on the Finger Lakes. Maximum dew point of 66 at 6pm. ๐Ÿ–๏ธ Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. A year ago, we had partly cloudy skies in the morning with some clearing in the afternoon. The high last year was 87 degrees. The record high of 102 was set in 1926.

As I previously mentioned, I am planning to stick around the Finger Lakes National Forest tomorrow, maybe doing some hiking and fishing ๐ŸŽฃ. I get tired of driving all the time and I feel like the best way to get to know the land is at times to stay close to where you are camping. I should have plenty of power for tomorrow at camp even if the solar power is limited due to the clouds. โ˜ I mean that’s the whole purpose of the extra battery ๐Ÿ”‹ in the bed of my truck. I have the rest of the week with ample sun โ˜€ to recharge things. For a while when the sun was out I was getting 85 watts which over an hour is 85 watt hours. It might take a while to fully recharge things if I’m down 1.2 kWh combined capacity at 50% discharged but the sun shines more than one hour each day and I can always use the alternator when driving to make up some of difference. I’m hoping tomorrow won’t be a wash out but if it’s really wet I could hang a tarp or hide out in the tent or truck cap and might consider driving down to the Watkins Glen library to use the Wi-Fi. ๐Ÿ“š

In four weeks on August 18 the sun will be setting at 8:03 pm,๐ŸŒ„ which is 34 minutes and 16 seconds earlier then tonight. In 2018 on that day, we had humid, partly cloudy, rain showers and temperatures between 77 and 68 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 80 and 60 degrees. The record high of 95 degrees was set back in 1913.

While getting my ice cream I passed one of the many long haul garbage trucks that go through Watkins Glen ๐Ÿšฎ delivering waste most likely to Ontario County Landfill on US 20 in Geneva or maybe Seneca Meadows. I know folks are out there doing political things to reduce waste but most of the time they are pretty silly like banning Styrofoam take out containers or plastic bags. Little is done about big picture things.๐Ÿ’จ If anything, politics is used to make people feel virtuous and do little in their own lives. I look forward to when I have that off grid property and can take my own actions but for now I avoid eating out or being big into that comsimeristic thing. I don’t like politics when it becomes an excuse for people not to change their own lives. ๐Ÿ’ญ

Looking ahead, State Fair Opens ๐ŸŽก is a month away, Sunset Before 7:30 PM ๐ŸŒ† is in 6 weeks, Average High 70 ๐ŸŽ‘ is in 2 months, Autumn ๐Ÿ‚ is in 9 weeks and Average High is 60 ๐Ÿ‚ is in 12 weeks.

Edge in Evening

March 25, 2019 Morning

Good morning! Monday’s come back around again. Next Monday is April Fools Day ๐Ÿคก. Partly sunny around the bus stop ๐Ÿšby Valero. As I marked on Waze there is a cop ๐Ÿ‘ฎ hiding out at the church โ›ช parking ๐Ÿ…ฟ lot across the way. There is a north breeze at 8 mph. ๐Ÿƒ. Overall a pleasant morning with the snow melting away.

I expect a long somewhat busy week this upcoming week, leading up to April Fools Day.๐Ÿƒ Fortunately I have lots of dress clothes ๐Ÿ‘”so I should be set for the week after buying those pants two weeks ago and the dress shirts this week. This week the big car insurance ๐Ÿš™ bill is due as is rent on Friday. Maybe I’ll get my federal tax refund back this week though. ๐Ÿ’ธI should have enough money to pay for it all though. I did end up spend $100 between groceries and the shirts but my pantry was getting pretty bare and I needed personal supplies like deodorant.

Hopefully this won’t lead into the weekend but at least trout season starts next Monday. ๐ŸŽฃMight rain this weekend which could lead to some very high water levels. ๐Ÿ’ฆI need to renew my fishing license this week. It expires like April 14th but I want to order online and have it shipped to me to avoid the line. ๐Ÿ’ป Same price online as walking down to the DEC or any other retailer. I will need it for my Easter weekend camping trip. ๐Ÿ‡

Today will be sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 42 degrees at 3pm. Six degrees below normal, which is similiar to a typical day around March 11th. At least it will be sunny. Northwest wind 8 to 10 mph. A year ago, we had mostly sunny. The high last year was 44 degrees. The record high of 74 was set in 1910. 1.9 inches of snow fell back in 1960.โ„

Took a sleeping pill ๐Ÿ’Š before bed but all it did was make me fuzzy come the morning. Lately I’ve been having sleeping problems again. Maybe because it’s been chilly in my bedroom with the heat turned down now that the weather has moderated or maybe because I’m dreaming of nice nights in the wilderness. ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒณโ›บ๐Ÿป That it I’m a fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ bug and all I’m dreaming about is burning things. ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ’ญ

I was on the fence about turning the heat on last evening as it was not expected to drop below freezing last night but I decided the morning might be cold as the heat ๐Ÿ”ฅ slowly leaked through the building as the night progressed. It was 63 degrees in my bedroom by the time I retired to bed, ๐Ÿ˜ด it got up to 66 degrees mid afternoon with the sun hitting the building. It was quite hot in the crawl space when I was in there putting my camping gear away and organizing it in preparation for the new year of camping. I opened up a window for a while but then quickly closed it.

The sun will set at 7:13 pm with dusk around 7:41 pm, which is one minute and 9 seconds later than yesterday. ๐ŸŒ‡ At sunset, look for clear skies ๐ŸŒ„ and temperatures around 35 degrees. There will be a northwest breeze at 8 mph. Today will have 12 hours and 25 minutes of daytime, an increase of 2 minutes and 54 seconds over yesterday. Maybe a bit too chilly for tailgate drinking tonight, although nowadays I only drink apple cider vinger water, not beer, because I’m cheap and I don’t like getting drunk, as I’m getting old.

Tonight will be clear ๐ŸŒƒ, with a low of 19 degrees at 6am. 10 degrees below normal, which is similiar to a typical night around February 24th. Northwest wind 5 to 7 mph. Going to need a little heat tonight. In 2018, we had mostly clear in the evening, which became mostly sunny by the early hours of the morning. It got down to 23 degrees. The record low of 2 occurred back in 1960. The negativity is done until November at this point I believe but I’d have to check the weather records.

Tomorrow will be sunny ๐ŸŒž, with a high of 40 degrees at 4pm. Nine degrees below normal, which is similiar to a typical day around March 6th. North wind 6 to 9 mph. A year ago, we had mostly sunny. The high last year was 50 degrees. The record high of 74 was set in 1986. 6.1 inches of snow fell back in 1899.โ„

It was a nice enough of an evening last night that I sat out back for a while, looking at the stars โœจ with my feet propped up on the snow bank. Slowly but surely melting away. They still have a fair amount of snow left in the hill-towns when I went out to the folks house for Sunday dinner. I could have gone skiing ๐ŸŽฟ today if I had the time out there but my priority was cleaning the truck for camping and my early morning walk to Five Rivers.

Now that my truck is cleaned and unpacked and my camping gear is organized I’m ready for my first adventure of the year. โ›บ Well first I want to haul the bottles, cans and accumulated recyclable โ™ป plastics to the transfer station. I’m also thinking about a run to the scrap yard to recycle broken Christmas lights, old power cables and wire that are cracked, some broken chairs and other metal things that I might even get a buck or two to scrap. ๐Ÿ’ต Or that could wait – I just noticed how many broken and junk cables and aluminum tubing from broken chairs I had in my crawl space.๐Ÿ”Œ Every buck counts and plus it’s recycling, and no I won’t burn wire even when I do eventually own land and can have fires whenever I want ๐Ÿ”ฅ. Toxic stinky. I don’t expect to make much.

I’m continuing to work on various improvements to the blog. ๐Ÿ‘€I fix one bug ๐Ÿ›, I find another. The same is true with my VMS sign. Debugging is a constant struggle. I try to write good code ๐Ÿ“ but I have only a few classes in formal computer programming. ๐Ÿ’ป The rest I’ve learned hands on so my technique is not the best but I have learned a wide variety of languages over the years.

I’ve also been doing a lot of thinking and writing ๐Ÿ’ญ about many topics lately. I kind of like the freedom of having my personal blog and not having to address the nasty comments on Facebook. I might use Facebook a little going forward ๐Ÿ‘ค but I’m staying away from reading it more than five minutes, once a day now. My focus is the blog. I have some great photo blog posts and interesting fact type posts scheduled for next week.

I am very happy with the Oxford shirts I got at JC Penny.๐Ÿ˜€ They are comfortable and fit well. ๐Ÿ‘• I hope going forward I can find them online, hopefully at a slightly better price then $44 for two shirts — or $22. When Sears was open they had them for usually $16-18 a shirt, depending on the sales. That said, the Sears shirts didn’t hold up well during the end, as I think the material kept getting thinner and thinner as they cut costs, leading to sleeves wearing out prematurely.

I looked last week at my investment accounts last week when finishing my taxes and was very happy. ๐Ÿ˜Š But now I guess we are heading into a recession. Nice to dream while I still can.ย  I expect now that the yeild curve โคต is negative that the economy is slowing and markets will drop. As I’m continuing to invest both for the midterm and long term aka retirement, I think it’s good for me as I’ll get more shares for my money. It’s kind of like a sale at the grocery store. Unrealized losses are just that – they only exist as an imaginary number. Eventually I’ll have the money to buy land out in the country, ๐Ÿก๐Ÿฎ it’s just a matter of continuing to save and invest.

Cloudy but fairly mild this weekend. ๐Ÿ˜ž Saturday, a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Maximum dew point of 45 at 1pm. Sunday, a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Typical average high for the weekend is 51 degrees.

Still thinking about an extended Easter weekend of April to camp. โ›บ I think that would work best for me on many levels, assuming most of the snow is gone from the East Branch by then. Or maybe Central New York if I go that route. I look forward to more nights in the wilderness.๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒฒ

In four weeks on Earth Day, April 22 ๐ŸŒŽ the sun will be setting at 7:45 pm,๐ŸŒ„ which is 31 minutes and 55 seconds later then today. In 2018 on that day, we had sunny and temperatures between 65 and 29 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 61 and 40 degrees. The record high of 86 degrees was set back in 1985. That’s a session day, so no camping out in the wilderness with my big jacked up truck, burning things I shouldn’t to celebrate Earth Day. Haha. Happy Monday, I’m quite the joker today.

Looking ahead, April Fools Day ๐Ÿคก is in 1 weeks, Tax Day ๐Ÿ’ฐ is in 3 weeks, Earth Day ๐ŸŒŽ is in 4 weeks, Memorial Day ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ is in 9 weeks, Latest Sunset ๐ŸŒ† is in 13 weeks, July ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿฟ is in 14 weeks, Cow Appreciation Day ๐Ÿ‚ is in 16 weeks, Last Sunset After 8 PM ๐ŸŒ† is in 20 weeks, Labor Day ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿญ is in 23 weeks, More Night then Day ๐ŸŒŒ is in 6 months and Columbus Day ๐Ÿ›ฅ๏ธ is in 28 weeks.

Under a cloud
