Good evening! Currently mostly cloudy and 60 degrees in Albany. Windy, with a stiff breeze running around 26 mph the west-northwest. While not the nicest evening, I think it was a pretty good day.

Breezy, with a west wind 18 to 23 mph decreasing to 11 to 16 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. The normal low for tonight is 55, so it will be about seven degrees below normal. The record low of 37 occured back in 1977.

Tonight the sun will set at 8:31 pm with dusk around 9:06 pm, which is 36 seconds later than yesterday. Almost the longest day of the year. Tonight we have a Waxing Crescent Moon with 30% illuminated. The moon will will set around 12:01 am. June’s Strawberry Moon is on Monday, June 20th.

Decreasing clouds tomorrow but still quite windy and cool. We will be Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 69. The lower temperatures expected for the weekend should hopefully help to keep the black flies in check. Which definitely is a good thing. I actually think a cooler weekend will be quite pleasant as long as it doesn’t rain much.
