Today was a long day at work but quite productive. Got a lot done. Didn’t get to bail Big Red out of the shop tonight but I’ll find out how much damage scheduled  maintenance  does to my bank account. I don’t think the bite will be that bad and it should be a lot cooler. I got paid this week, so hopefully I can retire the debt this weekend.

I cut back my savings rate slightly a few months back, as I got tired of living paycheck to paycheck, sometimes having to move money around or buy cheaper groceries to squeeze a little more out of each paycheck. Been putting more of each paycheck in low cost index funds, because the low fed rate sucks when you have a decent amount in cash savings. I put in long days, but there are rewards for what you do.
Every day is one day closer to vacation. I just hope that the sunny and hot weather lasts and we don’t get a week of cold rainy days. The long days at work pay for the toys, the beer, the gasoline  and the ammunition.

I’m tired. But tomorrow is Friday. And maybe if I’m lucky, I’ll be able to find out of town on Saturday. And that will be fun.
