Good morning! 😁Yeah, it’s a Very Wet and Warm Friday followed by an ice storm! Three weeks to Ground Hog Day. But for now spring conditions exist with the grass starting to green up. 🌧☔ Heavy rain and 55 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a south breeze at 11 mph. The dew point is 49 degrees. The skies will clear tomorrow around 6 pm. Everything changes tomorrow but we are still getting closer to spring.

🌼🌷Only 67 days remain until the first day of calendar spring! 🌺🌹

Today will rain. Patchy fog. High of 56 degrees at 10am. 26 degrees above normal. 👍 Kind of like yesterday but in reverse. Maximum dew point of 54 at 2pm. South wind 11 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. A year ago, we had mostly cloudy skies. The high last year was 54 degrees. The record high of 57 was set in 1885. 12.8 inches of snow fell back in 2011.

The sun will set at 4:44 pm with dusk around 5:15 pm, which is one minute and 8 seconds later than yesterday. At sunset, look for very wet conditions and 56 degrees. 🌃 The dew point will be 54 degrees. There will be a south breeze at 11 mph. Today will have 9 hours and 21 minutes of daytime, a decrease of one minute and 31 seconds over yesterday.

Tonight will rain before 2am, then rain and sleet between 2am and 4am, then freezing rain after 4am. Patchy fog before 2am. Low of 27 degrees at 6am. 11 degrees above normal. Southwest wind 8 to 14 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. 🌨❄ Little or no sleet accumulation expected. Lots of slipping and sliding for the drunks tonight as they head home from the bars. In 2017, we had mostly cloudy skies. It got down to 20 degrees. The record low of -18 occurred back in 1968.

I very foolishly, decided to walk down to the express bus. It was very wet, despite the bus driver giving me a ride part of the way down there. 🚏🚌 To be fair, it wasn’t raining when I first got up, and while it was pouring by the time I left my door, I was already to go for work, and it was like 56 degrees, and I wanted some fresh air, even in the rain, before the cold of winter returns tomorrow.

Yes, I’ve discovered emojis, and at least for the next five minutes, they are kind of fun to add to posts. I’m sure they are about as mature as five year old boy or our president, but so be it. It’s my blog, so I will post whatever I want. 🤓 They’re fun. Who says I can’t have a little fun in Trump’s America?

No camping this weekend. ⛺🔥❄🔫 Too much ice and snow on Saturday, then on Sunday through Martin Luther King Day it will be frigid. So I will work on building that case for the MAX7219 display and hooking it up to the DHT111 temperature and humidity unit, although I will later on add in DS3321 date clock, so I can do date-generated functions like countdowns.💻

As previously noted, there are 3 weeks until Ground Hog Day 🙀😸 when the sun will be setting at 5:11 pm with dusk at 5:40 pm. On that day in 2017, we had snow, mostly cloudy skies and temperatures between 35 and 18 degrees. Typically, the high temperature is 32 degrees. We hit a record high of 53 back in 1981.
