February 18, 2018 Morning

Good morning! β˜•🍵Happy Sunday. β›ͺβ›ͺWinnie the Pooh Day. 🍯🍯🍯Two weeks to Average High is 40. 🐺Partly cloudy and 34 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a west-northwest breeze at 11 mph. We  got about two inches of snow last night but that’s rapidly disappearing.

🌷🌷Only 30 days remain until the first day of calendar spring!🌷🌷

Today will be mostly sunny, with a high of 40 degrees at 2pm. 🌞🌞🌞Five degrees above normal. Northwest wind 10 to 14 mph. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies with more clouds in the afternoon. ☁The high last year was 52 degrees. The record high of 63 was set in 1981. 6.3 inches of snow fell back in 2000.

The sun will set at 5:31 pm with dusk around 6:00 pm, 🌄which is one minute and 17 seconds later than yesterday. At sunset, look for mostly clear conditions and 38 degrees. There will be a west-northwest breeze at 9 mph. Today will have 10 hours and 45 minutes of daytime, a decrease of 2 minutes and 44 seconds over yesterday.🌇

Tonight will b re mostly clear, 🌃with a low of 27 degrees at 5am. Nine degrees above normal. West wind 5 to 9 mph becoming south in the evening. In 2017, we had partly cloudy skies. It got down to 31 degrees. The record low of -7 occurred back in 1878.

Today’s plans include going grocery shopping,🍎🍳🍲🍣 possibly fixing the ground wire on my truck cap, going for a hike🏃 and then later on soldering together the connectors for my GPS logger. 🔬📺I haven’t yet decided where I will go but I may go out hiking first before showering because I’m thinking with the fresh snow and the warmer weather things may be muddy.🐷🐷Maybe I’ll stick to the rail trail a walk to Voorheesville might be nice.

As previously noted, there are 2 weeks until Average High is 40 β™¨when the sun will be setting at 5:49 pm with dusk at 6:17 pm. Seems like a joke with the warm weather expected this week. On that day in 2017, we had partly cloudy skies and temperatures between 23 and 8 degrees. We hit a record high of 59 back in 1919.
