Good evening! Cloudy and 37 degrees in City of Albany. There is a west-northwest breeze at 15 mph. The skies will clear tomorrow around noontime. I went home to pick up some dinner and my truck, and it was dang cold waiting out for the bus, especially with that wind whipping around. Bus was running late, but I made it home and back downtown within in hour. With my smartphone, I was never out of contact, especially when I was on the bus and not driving.

Tonight will have a chance of rain showers before 1am, then a chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low of 34 degrees at 6am. One degrees below normal. Northwest wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Little or no snow accumulation expected. In 2016, it got down to 31 degrees with periods of rain and snow. The record low of 19 occurred back in 1982.

Waxing Gibbous Moon tonight with 80% illuminated. The moon will set around 5:33 am. The Full “Pink” Moon is on Tuesday night with mostly cloudy skies expected and chance of showers. The sun will rise at 6:24 am with the first light at 5:56 am, which is one minute and 42 seconds earlier than yesterday. Tonight will have 10 hours and 54 minutes of darkness, a decrease of 2 minutes and 49 seconds over last night.

Tomorrow will be partly sunny, with a high of 51 degrees at 4pm. Four degrees below normal. Breezy, with a northwest wind 14 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph. With the wind it will be pretty chilly. A year ago, we had rain, snow and a high of 47 degrees. The record high of 88 was set in 1929. 4.5 inches of snow fell back in 1907.

On Sunday it will be very nice with ample sun, with a high near 64. Light west wind. Maximum dew point of 39 at 8pm.

Typical average high for the weekend is 55 degrees.

In four weeks on May 5 the sun will be setting at 8:00 pm, which is 31 minutes and 46 seconds later then tonight. In 2016 on that day, we had cloudy skies and temperatures between 58 and 47 degrees. Typically, you have temperatures between 66 and 44 degrees. The record high of 91 degrees was set back in 1944.
