Good Morning! Happy Wednesday. It is halfway through the week, although this week seems long because last week I had funeral to go, and then spent the second half of the week up at Moose River Plains. Sometimes, you do got to work, so you have money for the toys. The end of September always sucks, because both the car insurance and rent is due at the end of the month, which after a summer full of fun, kind of puts a strain on the budget.

Weather Was Pretty Good at Moose Plains This Past Weekend. We did get some rain on Saturday evening, but it held off until around 5:30 PM, when I was driving back to camp for the night. I had the tarps up, so I just cooked dinner under the tarps, and built a good fire from scraps of wood I found along the road.

Beautiful Weather This Weekend. But of course, I am working this week, and pretty busy with everything going on, so I’ve not had a lot of time for adventures. But so be it. The weekend will be nice, but I will be staying in town for the Save the Pine Bush hike. I am sure that it will turn to rain for the following week.

Next Fall Trip: Week to Be Decided. On the short list is either the second or third week of October for a trip to Finger Lakes, then westerly to Letchworth State Park, then southerly to Allegany State Park and Allegheny Natonal Forest, then probably take US 6 back, visiting the Pine Creek Gorge and Kinzua Bridge. Probably the balance of the week would be in New York, while only spending a day or two in Pennsylvania.
