Good Morning! Happy Earthday.

It’s a Monday out there folks. After a pretty uneventful weekend. Sunday’s weather was fairly nice, but cool, and Saturday was kind of a waste, although I got out to Five Rivers for a couple of hours. I am waiting for some nice spring weather, to get up and spend a delightful weekend in Adirondacks or maybe Central NY, if I think the weather is nicer out there.

Going to Start Doing These Short Blogposts Again. I kind of like doing these occassional personal blog posts, that used to be calledΒ Notes on an earlier generation of the blog. I stopped doing them a while back in the general downsizing of the blog in recent years, but I think I’m going to give them another try. I like the more conversational nature of these style posts, rather then the long-form posts or using Twitter all of the time.

Happy Earthday. Been a cold spring, but today is going to be sunny, and there is some nices of the grass greening up, the tulips starting to grow up, and the trees are starting to bud up. In two or so weeks, spring will be rapidly catching up, and within a month it will feel like summer is well underway — especially if we get some of those real warm days. I’m actually glad it’s greening up before the real hot weather fires up — that keeps it from getting so hot in the woods, and reduces the fire danger.

Looking Forward to Getting Out of Town This Weekend. At least so I hope. We will see how exactly the weather works out, but if it’s not rain and decent weather, I have a few ideas for camping and hiking in the Southern Adirondacks. Otherwise, Charles Baker plus checking out some of Alfred Woodford and other Central NY forests sounds quite attractive. Weighing the options.
