Andy……I stayed at campsite 56 two years ago…great site..very private and the privy was brand new! I follow your website all the time and I would like to say thanks for all the great info, maps and photos for the Adirondacks and the Catskills.I’m heading out to Putnam Pond on Monday for some camping, fishing, kayacking and hiking…Thanks again…keep up the great work!…Tom.
For many years that campsite didn’t have a pit privy. There was issues with people not properly burying their poop, especially in the area that has gotten thinned out over the years. It is a great site for sure though.
