Winter Camping at Foxx Lair in 2016

Four years ago, it was a very mild January so I decided to do a winter camping trip up to former site of the Foxx Lair Summer Camp in the Adirondacks.

Winter Camping

While fairly cold, it was nice to get away for a night, although I decided to pack up early the next day due to the risk of snow coming in on Martin Luther King Day.

The snow really wasn’t deep that year, but I decided not to drive back to camp, to avoid the risk of getting stuck.

I could have driven back but to be safe I left Big Red by the road

The winter skies over the mountains, were actually kind of magical.
