Well, ISIS Better Not Make Me Late for the Shuttle on Rainy Days ๐Ÿš€

As I often like to note, most terrorists work for the government. I just don’t want to miss the shuttle cutting through the Capitol with my bag of bananas, rice, and beans as the rain is pouring down, just because a security screener wants to know what I’m eating for lunch, and why it’s so damn healthy.

I had to just pull the buff card for Jessica Bowen, do a quick Newsbank search and check See Through NY ๐Ÿ“ฐ to see if she was a state employee, and if she regularly votes. Hasn’t voted since Primary 2009, not enrolled in a party. Had a kid in 2011 at Ellis Hospital, not a government employee. But yeah, I’m sure if I’m rushing to the shuttle now on a rainy day, they’ll want to inspect my container of kidney beans ๐Ÿซ˜ extra carefully. Annoying a shit. ๐Ÿ’ฉ But terrorists do that, make the government all the more obnoxious. I guess I still have the mind set of when I was in the Deputy in Research Services, but what was wondering how much an inconvience ISIS was about to make my life. At least this terrorist wasn’t colored, so the white supremists running the US government don’t have to dodge that bullet.

Made it in by 8 AM yesterday, ๐Ÿ•’ but ended up leaving earlier to head downtown to campaign committee due to the impending rain. ๐ŸŒง๏ธ Drizzling a bit as I rode downtown, and raining quite a bit harder all afternoon, ended up taking the yokel local, it so local busย  that runs even less frequently come Monday, ๐ŸšŒ back home. Fried up zucchuni and headed off to bed after some reading and watching stupid TikTok videos about farmers ๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸŒพ doing farmer shit and slinging it. ๐Ÿท Goal is to do the same at least to start out the day. Nicer day today, but yesterday would have been rather wet to head north last night. But I don’t know if I can get away for a three day weekend next weekend, but in two weekends at this time, I should be barreling in the SuperDuty for the Speculator so I can get my Labor Day Campsite ๐Ÿ•๏ธ, and either work from the hammock or the Speculator Library by 9 AM. ๐Ÿ“š

Watching the market shit in it’s bucket. ๐Ÿ”ฝ Maybe all the AI hype is getting knocked down a peg or two, but so are my investments and future owning my own land with that burn barrel ๐Ÿ›ข๏ธ for all that plastic crap out back and shitting in a bucket, and messing with batteries and eating venison I butchered myself. I actually have been holding back from the market a bit this year,  ๐Ÿค› hoping to get some good end of the year deals, plus cheaper valuations now mean more chance for shit to grow in the out year. But I do think taxes are going up on everyone in the out years to pay for the federal debt and social security, probably the Democrats will get blamed for that ๐Ÿด though look who is holding the federal credit card today. Whatever, days, weeks and even months are pretty meaningless things, what matters more is years and decades. Recessions come and go, good buying opportunities even if I will be a soldier ๐Ÿช– on the War on Poverty and only worth six digits in next few years. Well on that note, it’s time to get in the shower ๐Ÿšฟ and then on the mountain bike ๐Ÿšตโ€โ™‚๏ธ up to Enterprise, so I can bypass the ISIS-mandated security. As Country Joe and Fish says, ๐Ÿฆˆ “The one that’s driving’s got a bowler hat, the other’s got a fez on his head.”

Days of extreme mental illness and a $40 trillion dollar national debt

I keep listening to Karen Dalton and thinking back to that day in mid-October last year riding those dirt roads in the rain in timber easement out behind Horseshoe Lake stoned out of my mind in those final big trip that I took Big Red on.

Two hundred – dirty eight dollars in my bank account, ๐Ÿ’ต is all that left as I look at my Ford F-350 SuperDuty from the window of my $800 a month apartment of the past 20 years that is so diapolated there are literally cracks in the walls that show the daylight, that I swear I will sort of patch with some expanding foam and plaster so it doesn’t loose every drop of the 48 degrees I heat my apartment this winter to keep the pipes from freezing, as I climb under my electric blanket at 6:30 PM each night after riding my mountain bike home from work.

I was up at like 4:30 AM or something this morning, ๐Ÿ˜ฉ immediately regretting my decision to stay in town this weekend as it’s going to be wet especially on Sunday and not particularly hot and summer like as I had hoped to get away one last time, be fully off-the-grid at least in a cellphone sense, be floating down the East Canada Creek completed stoned out of my mind, ๐Ÿ˜ถโ€๐ŸŒซ๏ธ and riding my mountain bike to Potholers to sip more beer and smoke more weed. Not that I have much left.

But I plan to get into the office pretty early this morning, โฐ leaving as soon as I shower shortly, sometime around 7:30 or 8 am to get caught up state work and run some Census numbers, before heading over to the campaign committee this afternoon to make more lists of lists, and run other endless database queries. ๐Ÿ’พ You know shit like that, which I’ll be doing tomorrow too, rather then giggling to the Dire Wolf ๐Ÿบ up at the Potholers, dreaming of those days with the cabin ๐Ÿ›– with the burn barrel ๐Ÿ›ข๏ธ and hogs grunting ๐Ÿท out back. Yes, even burn the plastic. That’s what I told myself as I tossed that empty yogurt container in the trash, soon enough I’ll turn it into CO2 though not this weekend.

Went out to Five Rivers ๐Ÿธ after work, that is once I finally got out of the office. Gets dark out so dang early, autumn is coming, but so is all the color as the wildflowers ๐ŸŒป fade along. Been listening toย Sarah Goodyear’sย Life After Cars, an audio book by the same author as the War on Cars on Podcast. ๐Ÿ“™ But I thought you were a sad desprate invidividual with a Ford F-350 SuperDuty, yeah, but I do ride my somewhat beat mountain bike to work. After all, I do only have $238 bucks remaining not including that other million or so investments that someday will pay for said land that will give me enough buffer in case any of my trash fires ๐Ÿ”ฅ make a lot of black smoke or the cows smell like cows. ๐Ÿฎ Well, I better get on the bike, ๐Ÿšด because I got to go to work and make some money. Because the federal government is $40 trillion in debt, ๐Ÿ’ฐ and taxes are going up so Cousin Vinnie at the local piggery, police ๐Ÿšจ I mean police department can hire his imbred nephew to stick his dick out his window and check to make sure you’re not speeding, not colored or poor so you own a truck so old that it doesn’t have Android Auto so your touching your phone while motoring. ๐Ÿ›บ And Rainy Day Women, as I was singing at Horseshoe Lake back in 2025 in all those colorful autumn days. ๐Ÿ‚
