Dutch Settlement State Forest 📍

Back when I was much younger and less healthy, back in the college days.

Not that I would need much of a fire until after darkness, I still wanted a big bed of coals, so that the melting snow wouldn't put things out.

The previous trip up to the lean to, I had already unloaded my gear, unpacked my lawn chair, and was all set up.

There was about a four-feet snow bank outside of the lean-to, from where the snow had melted off the roof, and piled up. It was good, because it limited the breezes blowing into the lean-to.

This is the one short relatively steep section heading up to the Cotton Hill Lean To, right after splitting of the snowmobile trail which takes a seperate route up the hill.
