Weather Update – August 2, 2021
A cool but fairly sunny week for heading back to the office downtown ☀
“The story is in the past, there is nothing left to recall.“.
I will miss the laying back in the hammock listening to the cows moo and chew their cud. 🐮 All that sun ☀ will be nice as will the views of the mountains ⛰ although I expect a busy day as I have a week’s worth of work 📄 to catch up on.
This week I need to get my contact lens 👀. I was able to submit my eye check report online, so that be dun. I need to figure out what to do about my broken cellphone 📱 screen and run to laundromat 👚. I might work from home tomorrow to get all those things done. Might as well take advantage of that while I still can. No more after Labor Day unless I take a personal day.
Maybe the weekend is nice enough to go out to Schoharie which is kind of wild in its own kind of way. 🎣 🏊🏻♂️ 🌽 🍒🍓 Plus this week I have all my collected photos 📸 to review and post. And some videos 📹 from the vacation that was.

Good Morning – August 2, 2021
Good morning! As the sign on the Thruway says, Welcome to Albany, Cesspool of New York State. 😂
Maybe that’s a misreading of the sign on the Thruway, I actually took US 20 through MOO country🐮 all the way back to a dangerous, bad place in the words of the Republican County Elections Commissioner. 🐘 Probably feels that way because she can’t win many elections. ❎ So far away from the Finger Lakes and even the Otselic Valley. 🖐🏻
Partly cloudy and 59 degrees in Delmar, NY. ⛅ There is a west-northwest breeze at 7 mph. 🍃. The dew point is 57 degrees. Not a real hot or humid morning.
At least it’s not raining out. ☔ Summer vacation 🏊🏻♂️ ended so fast but it’s forward to the new week and seeking out more money 💵. If New York is good for anything it’s making money, after all it’s where Wall Street is located. Three paycheck month. Not that it matters, I’ll find a way to make it disappear. ⚫
Out for the morning walk 🚶🏻 as the skies clear. ☀ Then a shower 🚿 and shave 🧔🏻 and out to catching the bus 🚍 downtown. Still no express bus yet, I was hoping they would add it come August with more state workers downtown now although I guess everybody’s back to normal come the day after Labor Day. They still have the 719 signs up 🚏and the Park and Ride is still beautifully maintained.
I think the thing that gives me the comfort is knowing that the more things change the more they stay the same. 🏡 There have been some changes in the Finger Lakes but mostly my vacation was the same. The old routines are returning to life be it work or travel after so much upset last year from the pandemic. Summer vacation is dun but onwards to autumn 🍂 and a better tomorrow. ☺
