Today will have isolated showers before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high of 53 degrees at 6pm. Only 13 degrees below normal. Northwest wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%. A year ago, we had mostly sunny skies and a high of 61 degrees. The record high of 93 was set in 1979. 1.6 inches of snow fell back in 1977.

Rex Block Brings Unseasonable Cold, Unsettled Weather to the Northeast

“A blocking area of high pressure positioned in the North Atlantic Basin will continue to prevent the Upper Low over the Northeast from making any eastward progression,” explains Weather Network meteorologist Ross Giarratana. “Thus, cooler than normal temperatures and at times unsettled weather will continue to impact the Great Lakes and Northeast region.
