Catskill Scenic Trail 📍

The Catskill Scenic Trail is a multi-use rail trail along the former Ulster and Delaware Railroad right-of-way in rural Delaware County, New York. It runs approximately 19 miles from Grand Gorge, New York to Bloomville, New York. The western portion of the trail runs along the West Branch of the Delaware River. http://catskillscenictrail.org/

Not the Old Erie Canal

A lot of the trail, especially through the notch south of Grand Gorge reminds me of the Old Erie Canal, although it never was a canal -- it's just the East Branch Delaware River is channeled between the old rail grade and state highway.

Catskill Scenic Trail – NY 23

Been thinking about checking out more of the Catskill Scenic Trail this weekend, although nothing is set in stone yet. Looks like better weather in the Catskills then up north.
