“Hallways and staircases everyday to climb” πͺ
Off to work on this Hump Day. The big database done, so it should be a quieter day at work unless of course some computer system breaks or a big project comes in which might happen. Want to still get in there when they have Snickerdoodle Coffee left in the pot, as if I’m a few minutes late, it’s usually a wait until the next pot is ready.
Had my first few cup of coffee β this morning, actually slept pretty well last night as I skipped the second cup yesterday at work and didn’t have so much before leaving for work. I do like the flavored coffees they have at work, especially iced with sugar and cream, but I know that’s not particularly healthy, π«π» but for the most part I do still eat pretty helpful, though I probably O-D on pinto beans yesterday, as my need to poop π© and bloated stomach told me today. Skipping them until dinner tonight, this morning was mixed fruit pancakes. Been adding some lime πβπ© juice into the mix which is pretty good, along with lots of shredded carrot π₯. Find first thing every morning, I’m shredding carrots. Keeps me regular. Been gurgling my mouth with baking soda, and that’s been helping a lot with the bad breath. π«’ And it’s not over packaged, I’ve really tried to cut back on plastic crap lately, no just because I haven’t had the fires, π₯ but because plastic is kind of stinky bad news regardless even if you do send it up in smoke.
Bikes been working pretty good, π² and it looks like the rain will hold off so I can ride both ways today, and hopefully clear out early tomorrow, as I need my bike tomorrow to get up to the Pine Bush Dinner π½οΈ after work. I charged up the lights on my bike to work last night thinking I would go to Five Rivers after work, but it turned out to be a blustery, gray evening. That said, I did go down to the Town Park for a while ποΈ for Pine Bush Zoom Call. π€³ So yeah, waiting for the bike parts. Going to be much cooler after today, as the rain will bring in a cold front for the foreseeable future. This weekend, besides seeing if I can pull the upfitter box and wiring harness under the dash for the pass through wires and idle control, I want to also get the antenna mount off the old truck and see if I can make it fit the SuperDuty. I am thinking I might be able to drill it our or bend it, as those hood antenna mounts are remarkably expensive for the SD. πΆ
Threatened Politicians π
The other day I was at a town board meeting, and the politicians were complaining about feeling threatened by the angry public coming and speaking out about a proposed development.
The thing is that politicians should feel threatened in a democracy. Not fearing their physical safety but their position in government. If politicians aren’t doing their jobs, then they should be thrown out of office. Elected and appointed office is not a lifetime entitlement, instead it is a term position where elected and appointed positions must be renewed by either the voters or the appointing authority.
Politicians should be worried, especially if the public is unhappy with their service. And if they don’t like being criticized, then they should do what the public wants them to do. And if they do what the public wants, then they’ll get re-elected or re-appointed. Obviously!
Cloudy
It kept away the crowds, leading to a quiet walk.

I've never spent much time exploring Lewey Lake. But yesterday I walked around the campground. I wasn't that impressed with the campground, but the lake was interesting to see.
