Weather Update – April 3, 2022
Let’s make it RAIN, God said. 🌧
April showers bring flowers or at least mud. I guess it depends how many pigs and cows you have to tear up the landscape, although certainly hikers can do the same on the trails. I was actually surprised how dry and not-muddy Five Rivers was when I was walking. Often in the spring it can be one big slop bucket, but it was actually relatively dry yesterday. Monday might be decent, although who knows when I’ll get out of jail — I mean work on Monday. Even when I have the office with a fancy brass lamp, I don’t get decide when I get to go home. Seven thirty sunset come Friday, which is nice.

Daily Update – April 3, 2022
Good morning! Happy Dreary Sunday. 🌦
I mean back when they played the record on the radio, they used to the sun ain’t going to shine anymore. That said, usually when the sun shines it’s cold as mother, though yesterday wasn’t that cold. Accentuate the positive says the motivational poster you walk by and sometimes want to punch to break the glass, until you realize it’s just protected by a thin sheet of plexiglass that probably won’t break.
Cloudy, dreary and 40 degrees in Delmar, NY. ☔ There is a southeast breeze at 6 mph. 🍃. Showers around today. Hey, yesterday had more sun. And by the evening was pretty decently nice. So no complaining allowed. Snow later? Maybe in the hilltowns. As they say, April snow showers bring mud and more mud.
Yesterday, I went out to Five Rivers in the evening 🐸 and then went to out for a walk along Meads Road. A pretty typical weekend, and by the time I got out to Five Rivers around 5 PM the crowds and children were gone. Walked around Five Rivers for a while, sat down by the creek, listened to the spring peepers. I was surprised to see a Great Blue Heron there, they aren’t that common at Five Rivers compared to like along the Hudson River or the larger ponds at Partridge Run. 🐻 Saw a ground hawg, aka a woodchuck sunning, and tons of red-wing blackbirds that were so loud and abundent they were almost obnoxious.
