The rarest of the rare. That's what's so special about the particular Corvair depicted in this Chevrolet-issued public relations photograph. When the photo was taken, however, it was just a typical production-line image of a new car being assembled. But due to early production changes, modifications were made to the Corvair shortly after it was released to the public that rendered early production models—as this Cascade Green sedan—much sought-after. And it's all because of those three little slots on the front valance.

Albany’s D&H Building and How it Grew – Friends of Albany History

Albany’s D&H Building and How it Grew – Friends of Albany History

Over the years there were a number of other tenants including the “Albany Times Union”, and federal and state government offices. By 1970 the building was in significant decline. Then Chancellor of the State University, Ernest Boyer, announced in 1972 the University would purchase the building from the D&H and make it, and the old Federal Building on the corner of Broadway, the HQ of the State University. It was dedicated in 1978.

I was reading that the DOT Regional Engineer was headquartered in D&H Building in late 1960s. I wonder if the state had owned it at that point, or if was just a tenant of the D&H or the successor railroad. I guess it would make sense that the state would have bought it outright along with the railroad tracks when they were constructing Interstate 787, and used it to house state workers until they finally sold it to SUNY in 1972.

I get email or text alerts every time a new charge or payment posts to my credit card or bank account. This morning I was concerned about a $32 charge, as it’s rare that I buy something that is a round number. It turns out it just was my grocery bill from Saturday — for some reason the the groceries worked out to be exactly $32. I’ll have to check the receipt which is in my truck, but that’s what I remember it being close to when I went shopping.

Dow Breaks Major Record On Biden Transition, Vaccine Hopes : NPR

Not even the pandemic could keep the Dow from breaking a major milestone: the 30,000-point barrier.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average powered past 30,000 for the first time Tuesday after President Trump allowed the transition process to begin, even as he has yet to concede.

Investors had been growing worried that Trump's refusal to allow proceedings to begin would hamper President-elect Joe Biden as he prepares to take office.
