The Rest of Summer

I am sad that my summer vacation has come to it’s conclusion. But I still have some trips planned for the final four weeks of summer.

  • Mine Kill State Park – Swim, Fish, Paddle. Camp at Burnt-Rossman Hills State Forest. Visit farm stands, get good eats.
  • Piseco-Powley Road – Enjoy the potholers in the heat, maybe paddle Big Bay or Good Luck Lake. I would also like to hike up Good Luck Cliffs, which I haven’t been up in many years.

I also have August 21st off for the solar eclipse. I plan to get eclipse glasses and watch as the sun darkens that day, assuming we have nice weather. I am also thinking of taking off the 18th of August, to make a four day weekend, and if I do that, I might head up to Woodhull Reservoir or somewhere in the Western Adirondacks.

For Labor Day Weekend, I’m thinking about heading up to Moose River Plains for the long weekend. Hopefully, by then we will have some warm and sunny weather.
