February 14, 2017 Morning

“On a cold gray Valentines Day like today, you might not realize that there are only five more weeks until calendar spring. But the sun is expected out later and it will be in the 40s by the weekend. So life is good even if you can’t spell Valentines Day.”

Good morning! Happy Valentines Day. Mostly cloudy and 19 degrees in Delmar. Calm wind. The skies will clear around 2 pm. Or so we hope.

Today will be partly sunny, with a high of 31 degrees at 3pm. Four degrees below normal. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. A year ago, we had sunny skies and a high of 8 degrees. The record high of 63 was set in 1946. 23.5 inches of snow fell back in 1914.
