February 1, 2017 Morning

“February. It is here, with a fresh blanket of snow. Sort of winter like. The good news is spring is coming as in four Wednesdays it will be March. Sunshine later today? ”

Good morning! Happy February! Four weeks to March 1st. Cloudy and 26 degrees in Delmar, NY. There is a south-southwest breeze at 9 mph. The skies will clear around 7 pm.

Today will be scattered snow showers, mainly before 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high of 39 degrees at 2pm. Seven degrees above normal. Goodbye fresh fallen snow! Kids enjoyed their two hour delay. West wind 9 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. A year ago, we had rain and a high of 54 degrees. The record high of 65 was set in 1989. 15 inches of snow fell back in 1898. Back before my time.
