Lake Kushaqua is a 380 acre man-made lake in Onchiota. Part of the Rainbow Lake, it offers paddling and several primitive campsites along it's western shore. On it's eastern shore is the Buck Pond State Campground (fee).

  • Beautiful. This elusive site — is it still okay to camp there? I live in Saranac Lake, and we often go out to Kushaqua, but the only site I see along the “other” side of the lake (i.e., not the Buck Pond side) says Camping Prohibited.

    How does one get to this site?
