Good evening! Partly cloudy and 61 degrees in North Syracuse. There is a east breeze at 9 mph. The dew point is 52 degrees. We are in for a cloudy and rainy period over the next few days. Don’t expect  the skies to clear much before Monday around 7 pm.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 54 degrees at 6am. Eight degrees above normal. Maximum dew point of 52 at 10pm. East wind around 10 mph. The record low of 29 occurred back in 2000. Waning Crescent Moon tonight with 12% illuminated. The moon will rise around 4:37 am. The New Moon is on Saturday at 12:11 am with chance of showers expected. The Full “Harvest” Moon is on Sunday, October 16th at 4:23 am.

Tomorrow will have a chance of showers, mainly after 10am. Cloudy, with a high of 65 degrees at 2pm. Two degrees below normal. Maximum dew point of 52 at 11am. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of preci+pitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. The record high of 86 was set in 1921. The sun will rise at 6:59 am with the first light at 6:31 am, which is 1 minutes and 7 seconds later then yesterday.

Looking ahead, Yom Kippur is in 2 weeks and First Day with Temperatures Recorded Below Zero is in 9 weeks. Hopefully the foolish veto override of the bill to allow September 11th survivors to sue Saudi Arabia won’t come to bite us like what happened when the United States intervened
