March 13, 2016 Night

Good evening! Currently cloudy and 46 degrees with a 7 mph north-northeast wind. Not a terrible evening but your not going to see the stars tonight.

Tonight will be cloudy, with a low around 37. North wind around 6 mph becoming southeast after midnight. Freezing rain is now offering the agenda. Tonight will be about 12 degrees above normal. The record low of -6 degrees was set back in 1948.

Tonight we have 12 hours and 5 minutes of darkness, a decrease of 2 minutes and 52 seconds over last night. Tomorrow the sun will rise at 7:06 am with the first light at 6:38 am, which is 1 minutes and 44 seconds earlier then today.

Tonight we have a Waxing Cresent Moon with 33% illuminated. It will set at 10:59 pm. The First Quarter Moon is next Sunday and the March’s Full Worm Moon is on March 22nd.

Monday look for rain, mainly after 10am. High near 39. Southeast wind 9 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. That’s about 4 degrees below normal. The record high of 75 degrees was set back in 1946.

The average high in four weeks on Monday April 11th is 56 degrees, and the record for that date is 86 degrees was set back in 1922. We certainly beat the average high from a month from now this past weekend.

I certainly had an enjoyable weekend as you can see from the pictures I posted. It really was a great trip, even if it was only one overnight. But with the later sunset, soon I’ll be able to head up to the woods after work for camping.

I hope you had a good weekend. I’m dog tired. Good night. Sleep well!
