October is Coming Fast

Can you believe that Thursday is October 1st? I know I certainly can not believe it as it’s been such a warm first week of autumn.

The leaves at Moose River Plains this weekend were hardly peak, despite the fact that Thursday starts the October requirement that all vehicles be equipped with either tire chains or four wheel drive due to the risk of snow and ice at Moose River Plains.

Winter normally comes early to the Adirondacks
… but maybe not this year.
