Good morning, Happy Thursday May 14th

We are nearly halfway through the month of May. We’re does the go these days? I feel like summer will be over before it starts.

Today is decision day on whether or not to head out of town. I really am undecided. Next week is Memorial Day Weekend and if like to save the mileage budget for that weekend.

This weekend admittedly looks kind of marginal for Saturday. Despite the warmth, I’m not sure how green the Adirondacks are at this point. At least it’s been fairly wet up there from recent thunderstorms so the fire risk is low.

Another week most likely Moose River Plains and Piseco-Powley Rd should be open until the snow accumulates in the fall. That offers more opportunities especially if this summer turns out to be ungodly hot as some of the weather men are predicted. I look forward to some really balmy summer days to enjoy the Potholers at. Won’t be long before then.

Leaning towards North Lake Reservoir for Memorial Day Weekend but I need to think about it more. It’s been a long time since I was up there but it would be fun spending the weekend up there on the water kayaking. Probably should leave really early so I can get a site
