Day: July 25, 2014💾

Good Afternoon! Happy Friday. This weekend I am hopeful to be getting out of town for the weekend soon. I have everything ready to go, although I can’t drive into the city, as I have no way of securing things in my bed, so everything sits in my living room ready to go. I plan to leave work at 4 PM, and I feel like this Friday it’s a possibility. I still have to stop at a store to pick up a few supplies on the way up, but I think I can stop in Amsterdam or Gloversville.

Today is real nice day. Tomorrow should be pretty nice, but there is a chance for thunderstorms, with the humidity creeping back in. Sunday might be a little bit more wet, but the worst of the weather isn’t expected until late on Saturday. Probably just some quiet tent camping along Piseco-Powley Road, doing some reading, maybe some fishing, and some cooling down in the Potholers.

Found out it’s going to be another 1-2 weeks until I get Big Red back. It’s been 5 weeks now. They found some more damage after taking things apart, and they still haven’t gotten it started. I know the shop didn’t get to look at it until after 3 weeks, because they were busy working on other cars, but it’s kind of endlessly frustrating. I was really looking forward to getting the truck back mid-week, and I had been sitting by the phone, waiting for that call.

I guess I’m saving a lot of miles off my truck this summer, as in the summer is when I usually put most of miles on, heading up to the Adirondacks. I can put off the lift kit, because my existing tires aren’t wearing out. So maybe it’s not a disaster that I don’t have my truck back yet.
