Good Morning! Happy Day Before Independence Day.

Good Morning! Happy Day Before Independence Day. Today is much cooler then earlier in the week. The warm is normal summer warmth, e.g. warm but not oppressively hot. Maybe if the clouds break, it will get hotter, but they are expecting some pretty heavy rain showers and thunderstorms by afternoon. It’s summer, and what one would expect.

Decided to pack tonight and leave first thing tomorrow morning, possibly at daybreak for a long weekend at Moose River Plains. Normally, I would go up tonight, but I don’t really like sleeping in a tent, and setting up in the dark without lights isn’t much fun. I probably can get up and going earlier from home then if I was poking around at the Plains, and maybe even be up there by 9 or 10 AM if I leave at 6 or 7 AM.

Probably do some fishing up at Moose Plains. Maybe cool down in Cedar River Flow or the Moose River, and hike back to some of the ponds, and do some more fishing. Probably spend a lot of time just reading, and enjoying time away from it all. Might hike Black Bear Mountain (again) on Saturday.

I kind of got busy, and never got around to calling the shop to see how they are doing on my truck, but I have a feeling I will get it back by Tuesday. Usually they are pretty good at estimating such things, and even if it’s a few days late, I should have it back by the next weekend. Next weekend, I probably won’t be able to get too far out of town, but by the following weekend, if I want to take an extended adventure, it should be fine to go further out of town.
