Last summer day in Schoharie ☀️
Most likely that is with only two summer weekends remaining. Listening to lots of Karen Dalton and John Denver, looking at the wildflowers and bumping along those rough dirt roads, saying how fast those days go.
Maybe it was the weed 🌸 or the hours in the sun studying the wildflowers 🌻 🏊♂️ but it seems like I spent more time sleeping then swimming 🤽♂️ at the Mine Kill Pool. Hiked down into the gorge and over to NYPA Discovery Center which is under heavy construction as they renovate the exhibits. Been using the binoculars to study the birds 🪿 and distant views after rediscovering then I my old truck. 🚛
It was a quiet evening at camp 🏕️ lights were working good but I was tired and got cool quickly after the sun set. Had a small fire 🔥 and retired to bed around 9:30. Woke at five, ran to the bucket 🪣 shitter did a poop 💩 and smoked some more grass 🦗 until sleeping in until eight. Took down camp, 🥾 wandering around Looking Glass Pond and the falls, next up is Shauls then over to Mine Kill State Park Pool 🩳 until 4 pm or maybe earlier if storms roll in.
Sunday dinner 🍽️ and laundry 🧺 at the folks house, catch up with them. Start up Big Red 🛻 to get fuel running through the engine, then I’m thinking of swinging by Wally World on the way home 🏪 for a bunch of things I need then home. Busing it tomorrow to work and then working over at the campaign committee getting loose ends tied up into the evening. Maybe Thursday after work head north for the Potholers. 🟤 That would be nice as summer winds down. 😎
