More about Spencer Crest Nature Center...

The Spencer Crest Nature Center is a 250-acre environmental education and outdoor recreation preserve situated just outside of Corning, New York. Owned and operated by SUNY Corning Community College (CCC), it provides an accessible getaway into a tranquil woodland ecosystem that blends oak-hickory-hemlock and beech-birch-maple forest zones. The center features two serene bodies of water—Amelia Pond and White Birch Pond—along with over 7 miles of multi-use trails utilized for hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. While the outdoor trails remain open to the public, please note that the main nature museum building and its sensory/inclusive indoor exhibits are temporarily closed due to maintenance needs.
